I haven't bought a jersey in like 20 years, the post SB euphoria where I bought 5...none of whom ever played in a game with another team...
-Black #7
-Black #36
-Black #43 (seller supertoker sent me 2 by mistake)
-Black #86
-White #39
But what about this "unlikable" thing, I don't get it. Like who?? Herbig, Warren, Gainwell, Rodgers aren't likable??

Why do grown men buy jerseys anyway? Seems like strange groupie behavior to me.
Anyway, it is funny to go into a sporting goods store and see the collection of recent Steelers jerseys they have on clearance- Pickett, Harris, Claypool, Pickens- a collection of busts and headcases. I don't think people will rush out to buy Metcalf jerseys either.
Really, the only players from this era who I could understand would be Watt and Cam. My daughter has a Watt jersey, but I don't think I have ever seen someone wearing a Cam jersey.

The best player over the last 5-years has been the kicker.
Can't think of a current player that I like well enough to want their jersey.
Maybe Kuntz simply for amusement.

Last one bought for me was the block number style home Watt jersey in 2017.
Girlfriend at the time [Wife for 21 yrs now] bought me Roethlisberger’s [home] jersey for Christmas in 2004.
Bozz’s jersey maybe?

Once upon a time the office used to do a jersey Fridays during the season. Suit/tie Fridays when off season…
Ben Roethlisberger, Marvel Smith, Willie Parker, Heath Miller, TJ Watt
Wouldn’t mind Ward, Polamalu and Bettis.

It was until grown men decided it was cool to be free advertising banners for corporations.

This is the sixties so front brimmed hats are starting to replace traditional male headwear.
While ties are a bit much, this is a much better and dignified look for fans.

I only have a Lloyd jersey.
And a 50 towel the guy sitting next to me gave me at my first Steeler game. His wife was not happy.

No.
The last Steelers jersey I purchased was a custom Aaron Hernandez Steelers jersey.
I still think we should sign him to a one day contract so that he can enter the Hall of Fame as a Steeler through and through!

*roots for losses*
I have a Bettis from XL, a Rocky Bleier and a Hines Ward. I'd do a Lloyd or a Harrison.
This current crop? Can't think of one, but I favor retired players. Wearing current player jerseys is for families and cheerleaders.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Yeah, I've never bought a jersey, in any sport. May have gotten a few as a kid. I always thought it was kind of funny to see people wear it out to the club. I get it's just as expensive as some designer shirts, but c'mon. Your Air Jordan's cost as much as some dress shoes, but c'mon.
Also, I don't advocate any dude go shirtless at a game. But if you do, you better be either ripped or a hog. If you work as a barista, maybe keep the shirt on.
i lied -- as just found in the closet I had a ward jersey and a roethlisberger hoodie
however, that said, they were all gifts ... I dont think I have ever bought one and never wore a jersey out in public ... I have worn the hoodie
I might wear a hoodie with bradshaw or fast willie parker on it ... two favorite of my favorite steelers along with Ben and Franco

The idea that any grown ass middle aged or older man should wear a jersey of a 25 year old (who himself never wears it outside the arena) as a form of hero worship strikes me as regressive pathetic immaturity.
