General FYI if Rodgers comes back next season...
I will be openly rooting for the Steelers to lose every game.
And for Rodgers to get hurt. Maybe badly. Depends on how honest I want to be.
Some thought the war was over when Tomlin stepped down. Nuh uh. That was like George Dubbya going all "Mission Accomplished" on that aircraft carrier. This war is FAR from over. The Steelers are still too arrogant, too enamored with themselves, have no self-awareness, and somehow are even fatter than they were last year.
If they take a risk on a young QB? If they risk actual failure as opposed to all of these half-assed half measures meant to secure maybe 9 wins? I'll be a good fan. If they sign Rodgers or some other corpse like Cousins? Openly rooting for losses + injuries will be the song of my soul.

Thanks for this key piece of info. Glad to see you taking the advice I offered in the original thread in which the hire was made I guess, though I don't know why you feel the need to tell us all as if we care or you are some trend setter.
I guess instead of being years behind the 8-ball, you're only a month or so now so congrats.
Maybe if I buy you a Fox News subscription you can be as with it as I am.

Sir, do you know who the f I am?
I was rooting for losses two years ago while the rest of you mutants were cheering Tomlin, Pickett, and fat Najee along for our annual playoff slaughtering.
Try to keep up.
I'm probably the bravest Steelers fan that has ever existed.

I can tell you are a member of the generation that grew up watching Remember The Titans and grew up to think that you were fighting the real civil rights battles. The sort of mental rejects who have to fake hate crimes so they can slay imaginary dragons because their demand to be recognized as righteous and need to be special far oustrips the actual supply of real social issues there are to be fought.tbsteel wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 2:50 amCKSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 2:24 amThanks for this key piece of info. There are people on this site and elsewhere who hated Tomlin from the jump. Certainly by 2012. So you were more than a decade behind. It is a bit funny to me to see Swiss getting a hard time from people like you for just hoping the team wins as if it matters when he was bitching about Tomlin's stupidity when you were just starting to jerk off to your first hentai and I can probably drag up posts of yours from as late as 2021 thinking that this would be the year Tomlin shows all the haters.
I'm glad you finally DID come to your senses. I just ask that you have some decency about it.
But yea in general just wanted to point out that outside the legend Ron, Swiss was the earliest Tomlin critic I can actually recall.
This site is f’n wild.
I could’ve had 1000 guesses at what that response was gonna be and would have never even come close to some weirdo political Remember the Titans tie-in that you pulled off. Impressive lol. That Fox News brain rot is real but you do you.

I don't really want Rodgers or Cousins, but I'd rather watch the old men than watch the Steelers waste the next few seasons on the fools' gold that is Malik Willis. How many Justin Fields / Anthony Richardson clones does the league need to see to figure out that glorified RBs who can't throw accurately and can't read a defense aren't going to accomplish anything? Even the best running QBs like Vick and Lamar never really accomplish much of anything once the playoffs come along. Let's give the one-read and run QB from Liberty $60 million because he looked half decent in a game where he came in as a back up! Doesn't make sense to me.
I also don't want undersized sad sacks like Kyler or Tua.
It's a bad time to need a QB. But playing Rodgers while grooming a rookie behind him might be the least bad option.

I don’t want Rogers back. I didn’t like the Buck Cluck hire.
With that being said, I’d like us to win a playoff game this year.
Otherwise the Tomlin ball washing will be out in full force.
McCarthy was just hired. He will be around for a few years. Might as well enjoy some wins.

No more ancient retreads please…..

The above F/A list is depressing beyond belief. Bad year to need QB in either F/A and the Draft.

All we heard was that you (and others) were rooting for losses so that Tomlin would be gone. You were such superfans that the only way to get Tomlin out was for the Steelers to lose, and then you could return to your rooting for the team.
And then truth comes out.
Change did not happen exactly as you wished, so back to rooting for the team to lose.
Or, your message board persona is so wrapped up in rooting against the team that you do not want to change. Just like the people on the old site stating that they would turn over a new leaf, make new screen names when Cowher won a SB but when that happened they were too wrapped up in their message board identity that they refused to do what they claimed they would.

Spell, Asians.
I think what we are seeing is that Tomlin was gone, but it ended up being bitter sweet because he stepped down rather than be fired and Art II refused to take the opportunity to really chart a new course. He made the notion that they were really right there and on the cusp the basis of the search for a replacement.daikyu wrote: ↑Tue Feb 24, 2026 6:28 pmAll we heard was that you (and others) were rooting for losses so that Tomlin would be gone. So it's most definitely a case of meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Same shit different shovel sort of thing.
The basis at least I had for wanting Tomlin gone was the perpetual mediocrity and the ridiculous notion that they were really contenders. Just this or that tweak or move could get them over the hump when really everything they do at this point as an organization is getting on the below average or worse side of the spectrum.
I'll be happy to eat my words if McCarthy goes 13-4 and wins a playoff game or two but yea...I just don't see it.

Hate is a dangerous drug, I agree.
I might be lost. It's pretty consuming and it feels amazing.
But the biggest thing I think a lot of us wanted was significant, foundational changes to this team that only bottoming out with miserable failure would hopefully bring. That didn't happen. Everything they've done this offseason with the retread McCarthy hire, all of McCarthy's comfortable lackeys coming along for the ride, their begging for Rodgers to come back for another ride, with all indications they just want to run it back again with this same stale roster, everything about that screams COMFORT and not rocking the boat too much. We need a new f'n boat. This is just a paint job.

But I can claim I'm the most annoying poster, at least I was winning when the pipes broke and STD pulled down the blinds.
