ARod on mcafee
It's funny watching people hoping for Rodgers because they think that stops PIT from signing someone like Murray to a multi-year deal.
Reality is Rodgers just kicks the can down the road another year. Rodgers is literally the worst option out there because next year they might give a multi-year deal to Bryce Young or Mac Jones, without ever giving Howard a shot (who probably does suck, but we'll never know unless Rodgers gets hurt).

he said ...
there is no decision deadline
and there has been no contract put in front of him

....he also absolutely raved about Will Howard
His attitude…not his skill. …not that I give f$#k what he thinks about it anyway.
AR iwould be another season of thinking we’re not in quicksand.

Fuck Arod. Just go away, dude.
Not ready to proclaim this.
But I'm also not ready to say he's the savior like a bunch of other Yinzers

I may be less certain than I was about Rogers coming back to the Steelers… But if not, I wouldn't be surprised if the Steelers bring in no additional to the QB room and go all in on Will Howard… With Mason being the Plan B, and maybe picking up Someone else inexpensive and free agency or in the draft . Interesting that a rod appeared on McAfee, critical of other media, but knowing goddamn well that his McAfee appearance would be re-broadcast all over… Lead story on the ESPN shows this morning

So no contract and no deadline?
Sounds like maybe both sides are playing games and Rodgers is not going to be our QB. I've said all along I really can't understand why Rodgers would come back for a McCarthy rebuild. Unless he really, really wants to re-live McCarthy choking away all those playoff games that got him fired.

Talked plenty about his wife...he said, verbatim...that he's working out, keeping himself in shape..."cuz I want my wife to want to fuck me all the time."
LOL, so the day after Rodgers is on Mcafee I see articles about Kyler Murray to the Steelers
The catch is it's the same situation as Russell Wilson, meaning Murray could potentially be had on a 1-yr deal for like $1.5M. He's already guaranteed $35M or whatever, and the speculation is a 1-yr prove it deal might be his only path to one last big contract.
Problem is Murray clearly would not be willing to sit for Howard to get a shot. Probably just like Rodgers won't do that.
Anyway, unless everyone is blowing smoke on Howard, the Steelers clearly intend for him to play sometime next year. Everyone has said Rodgers is welcome to come back, but if there's no offer or deadline you have to question if Rodgers is really "part of the plan".

If Rodgers had a management structure that could work with him instead of against him, he could make it through at least another year and maybe do something.
Tomlin is gone. McCarthy knows how to run a team 90%.
