I'm much, much more worried about this defense then I am the offense.
Especially the secondary.
SS has been brutal.

Has Pickett had a successful down field throw in this game? I don't remember one.
I definitely expected them to lose, but couldn't quite pull the trigger on SF with a long road trip in my must-win pool.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:56 pmSomebody picked the Steelers to lose 31-6 in another thread.
I never thought the Steelers would lose and definitely not by that much.![]()

This is true. Tomlin is playing chess and Shanny playing checkers.

The only thing the Steelers did well today was putting Watt on the field. Everyone else sucks out loud.

I don't think so.
We needed to throw downfield on early downs, but we were busy playing ball control offense and running jet sweeps.

Any one on offense played well ?
That's on Kenny.
He had plenty of time.

Harvin again showed what a fuck he really is
That pass to Robinson might be the first successful downfield throw today.

On thing is for sure, Greenlaw and Warner are 100x better than our ILBs are.

Blow it all up then. The whole thing is shit! No sense getting excited for success of our favorite team.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:51 pmImagine being the second year QB going on the road for an early east coast game against the vaunted Steelers defense and fans. Have to think it was nerves and expectations.
Not enough George as well.
He might not be the guy.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:55 pmKenny wasn’t bad. Kenny is bad. He beat some shit teams at the end of last season and pulled it out for Franco which I’m forever grateful for, but let’s be real, he’s not the guy.jeemie wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:53 pmPerch…Kenny was bad, but the 49ers are obviously a WAY better team than Pittsburgh.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:51 pm

This was a team failure, not a singular Kenny failure.
Question is how long do the Steelers fuck around to find out? Could set this franchise back 10 years or so.
I don’t believe he is suck out loud bad.
And I do not believe we are “loaded” at the skill positions either, as Perch tried to claim.

It's funny you mention the last 2 years.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 7:59 pmThis is ridiculous. What has the offense shown in the last two years that tells you they can consistently score points?
Washed Ben Roethlisberger followed by the Mitch and rookie Kenny show.
They have offensive talent now. What ruined my optimism wasn't Kenny's performance. He'll get a lot better.
It was the game plan. You have to attack a team like the 49ers downfield on early downs.
We played ball control.
Which is just fucking unbeleivable.

No time to throw, but someone was wide open over the middle on that sack
Kenny has a very, very small sample of big-boy throws. He's shown great accuracy checking the ball down. But does he have the arm talent to fire balls into tight windows in the intermediate zone?
Can't blame the playcalling for that until Kenny prove he has the goods to deliver.

Yeah, so did both starting corners. Too bad we didn’t draft an OT and CB this year.

We are in HUGE trouble at ILB and in the secondary.Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 8:01 pmOn thing is for sure, Greenlaw and Warner are 100x better than our ILBs are.
Levi Wallace and whoever we ran out there at SS was brutal.
They got pushed around up front. San Fran ran at will.
You go ahead and slam Pickett. He deserves it today, but this defense is in much, much worse shape than the offense.
You'll see.
