Jags are a good team, but the Chargers should have made sure they never got the ball back after that INT.

GREAT COACHING....WTF YOU TALKING ABOUT!
If you have to ask the question with caps, you will never understand the answer with uncaps. Keeping cool, calm, and collected is the secret. Keep the ship sailing to the goal, trust the process, fix the mistakes, better the good; it is the hallmark of the playing, coaching, font office and the organization. And unlike these threads during the game, they don’t throw out the baby with the bath water and burn the house down.
Do you think this team looks good?? The process looks downright shitty. They're pulling out Ws due to some great individual efforts at the end of games

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

I don't know if it's BS or blowing smoke, but a couple guys at PPG have been saying PIT is holding things back on both sides of the ball.
I have to say, I didn't really think much of that theory-- maybe a few wrinkles on D... but when it got to be third dow, 4th Q, down by 8... they ran two plays in a row that I haven't seen before. Also the first no-huddle I can recall this year. Even the winning drive had a different feel to it.

My favs are Ben is finished.
He is not playing good enough to win a SB in my opinion. Hope I am wrong and I eat my words.
He may be a shadow of what he used to be.
But that throw to AB was vintage Ben. Pressure, step up in the pocket, throw a BB with his jersey getting pulled.
I'm really glad he's on our side. And I think he has the intangibles to win us another Lombardi.

This strategy has been in place for a while. Explains the swiss painful fan experience, and how they play towards the end of the year. Not a surprise to me.bradshaw2ben wrote:Kodiak wrote:MemphisSteelerFan wrote:This season was predicated on the offense being far and away dominant so that they would outscore people and that is not anywhere close to what is happening.

On a day where protection really came together in 2nd half, our 3rd down plays calls where absolutely insanely bad-- designed dumpoff/catch and runs to well-covered guys way short of the sticks, gadget play WR runs, and other assorted garbage.

This game this week was supposed to be the one the Steelers came to and dominated, right? Well they just about came undone and lost to another inferior shitty team. Why are these games so painful to watch? Why can't we have an enjoyable game where the team on the other side is completely mopped up by the end? What is it with this Steelers team they continually show up to unimpress and disappoint? I know..., the other guys get paid as well. I know..., any given Sunday. (Cliches)
I'll take the win as it was barely by a play or two going either team's way. The last pass play to Rogers should not have been a first down and I thought Pagano was certainly going to win the challenge. To my surprise he was jobbed by the officiating crew. IMO, These Steelers as they are now aren't really deserving of their #1 AFC team billing and I expect they'll see some serious adjustments from teams as the season unfolds. Hope they get better down the stretch. This game today was very ugly. /rant

You're a great guy '77, but cripes if you're not used to slop and slather wins (and losses) to shit-ass team by Tomlin's Steelers by now, I do not know what to say for you.

thought this was far from Ben's weakest performance of the season, early interception aside
and arguably the only game where the receiving corps has been fully integrated
(not to mention our only game with two red zone TDs thus far)
and yes, the pass to AB on the final drive was vintage Ben. those moments are getting harder to find, but it's encouraging to know he can still produce them on occasion.

That the freaking holder- Punter Jordan Berry took off and slowed down the returner, letting hustling JJ catch the guy. HUGE play.

Jobbed? You mean like the turnover we didn't get?
Lets not forget JuJu's contributions.

Makeup call for the earlier fumble?

Seriously, I didn't see enough to overturn. We did luck out with the call on the field, it could have gone either way.

also not to be annoyingly glass half-full bigger picture guy, but 7-2 at this point in the season, after hovering around .500 and having to claw our way back the previous three years
i'll take it

Compared to what he once was? Absolutely. Nowhere near the player he was 2-3 years ago. You'd have to be blind or a complete homer to not see that through 9 games this year. And he was bad most of this game. But, he made big plays when it mattered at the end though. That pass to AB to clinch it was maybe his best play all year. Looked like something from '07/'08.
He had one of the best games of his career a year ago. No way he went from the who was great down the stretch last year to much worse this year. The style of play they seem to prefer makes him look a lot worse that he would in a different gameplan.
