Did you guys see how comfortable Ben looked in the no huddle? Coaching removed that from the offense. You see the routes our guys are running? 4 curls under 5 yards. Just shit. The motion and outside runs are cute. The route combos and play calling is shit.
Better than 1 month ago. A month ago, they couldn't have pulled off that ugly game winning drive.
Offense still looks horrid, BUT #7 is starting to look like he can make the plays he has to make in this offense. Long way to go, but I think there's still a lot of upside there.

He was good in an obvious pressure situation.
The fact we struggle to score so mightily against terrible defenses like this and Seattle is scary and sad.
The offense took it's foot off the gas when it was 14-0.
No other team does that.
Blame…the coach who thinks a 14 point lead is insurmountable.

It’s amazing how…for someone reason no one can articulate…the no huddle where Ben calls plays is better.
I’ve been assured by many Steeler fans that we need Ben to take a back seat and the coaches need to assert themselves. Maybe the coaches need to take a back seat.

Ben passed Brady tonight to become the most sacked QB in NFL history.
Another one for the records books? Hey, we'll take it.

We got literally every call tonight and still had to luck the fuck out AT HOME to win.
We're gonna need to find a kid like Fields next April. The Bears got a real good one.
Fields sucks and will be out of the league in 3-4 years.
No, he won't.
The lasts 2 weeks he's taken major steps forward.
You might be thinking of Jordan Love when you're talking about a QB who will be out of the league shortly.
Fields is a rookie and he took us to the fucking WALL. At home. When they start using his legs better, with the rifle arm he has?
Holy fuck.

How about that Big Ben bailing us out at the end?
Just like the last 18 years. And some of you motherfuckers can wait to push him out the damn door.

I don’t see how you can’t feel comfortable about that 2 min drive.
Ben played a really clean game tonight.
If the defense can fix the holes (which I think is generally due to going conservative) this team can score enough points to win some games.

We can't beat good teams with how bad we are at the LoS on offense and the middle of the field on defense. Can they improve in those areas without different players?
We can improve the LoS issues with more play action and opening up the game a bit more. The middle of the defense? I'm worried about Bush and Edmunds. Thankfully Bush actually had a pass defensed at the end there.
I don’t know. Moore seemingly gets beat on every PA. Twice his man got to Ben just as Ben turned. They either need to give Moore help or move him to the bench.
They refuse to help him out no matter how many times he gets beat. I don't get it. It's like they want Ben to get drilled several times.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

Not that impressed. His first read was wide open a million times. Coverage breakdowns. And I don’t see what Love has to do with anything besides a guy who also isn’t very good.

I hated the conservative play calling, but I'm actually more pissed at the defensive effort at the end. Too many busted coverages.
When our defense has to face an offense that has decided to go with asymmetric calls, instead of sticking with orthodox play calling, it is not good.

Yeah I thought Fields showed a lot of promise. He has good size and a solid arm. Made some really nice throws too. Runs well but doesn't look to run first the way a lot of rookies would. The kid looked good imo.

I don’t think it is sustainable for a QB to run the 2 minute offense an entire game. But I’m willing to give it a shot. The current offense is a shit show. And I blame Tomlin. Just when it seems Canada is starting to dial up some good play calls and gets us out to a two score lead, Tomlin puts us in turtle mode.

Not for an entire game, but how about 1 drive per half to mix things up?

Ben played lights out - for the 4th straight week.
But he's not young Ben with the goods to put this offense on his back, anymore. I'll give you "optimistic", but "confident" on that GWD isn't a word I'd use.
Our scheme still sucks, and our WR's are still far too average, and our OC sucks....

If I were bears fans I’d be happy with what Fields is doing. Rookies never do shit (except Ben and a few others) Fields has kept them in almost every game except for I think 2.

I bet you could get away with it for a game or two....like in the AFCC and SB. I bet Tomlin has that in his pocket, if we ever get there.

Last 4 games Ben has thrown for about 1000 yards, 6tds 0 INT and a 110 QBs rating.

Yea, its back to where the offensive coordinator is calling two types of plays.... no layers in the routes, no common sense things like chipping a guy whose beating your rookie, nothing imaginable whatsover.... just runs up the middle, WR runs on motion, and short passes to usually the slowest guy on the field short of the sticks.
