What's worse, AB stepping out OOB v. Miami or Holmes disappearing entirely for stretches of games?
It's not as if Holmes never dropped a deep pass.
Of course Holmes dropped passes, ran the wrong routes, etc. and it cost us big-time against Cinci in '09. The discussion though was about clutch, unclutch, etc. Sure, Holmes disappeared for stretches of games. In the biggest games though, he was all in. But, to answer your question honestly, and more specifically....had AB not stepped OOB against Miami, Steelers make the playoffs last year. It's absolute, Lit, you should be able to appreciate that; it's irrefutable. So, in that context, AB stepping OOB was worse.
Thank god you're not my lawyer... Your understanding of the "but for" test is limited, to say the least. "But for" Antonio Brown slipping a few inches out of bounds on a last second play that probably never should've gotten that far the 8-8 Fucking Steelers make the playoffs? Did you miss the many, many mistakes it took to lose 7 other games in there?
Sweet shit, man.
The thread isn't about Holmes at all. Get the fuck over it.
EDIT: Your argument sucks. You lost this one. You have a smattering of borderline trolls on your end of things. Again, move on. It's OK. We aren't all right about everything all the time.

Holmes made some clutch catches and helped us win some big games, including the Super Bowl.
Brown is a far, far superior player. It's not close.

Sorry Lit....forget to recognize your having raised the spectre of the Are We Fucked Yet Quotient.
What say you about Transitive Properties?
Im pretty sure Lit swings both ways.....so it prolly doesnt matter to him
RS is prolly in that group too....

Or 3rd & 6, or 3rd & 5, or 3rd & 2, or a botched call on KC FG attempt. I don't buy into transitive properties.
Had to look up transitive property. This is what I found:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.p ... 20property
That pretty much sums it up

Check out the What do YInz do for a Living, thread, Jones. There's plenty of barristers & soliciters on this site; I'm not one of 'em.
But as far as arguments go, let's compare the two:
*Mine goes.....Had AB kept his feet off the white sideline with nothing but goal line in front of him, Steelers win that game and make the playoffs. Try to refute that.
*Yours goes....Boo hoo hoo.....it should have never come down to that
I don't know. I always though the it shouldn't have come down to that one play argument, when that one play involves some massive fuckup....is a goddamn weak.

Despite things like the 3rd and 21 helmet catch, Brown does have a recen history of coming up small in clutch moments.
Oakland 2012 and 2013...flubbed passes which led to turnovers
Dallas 2012- fumbled a punt return that would have sealed the deal
Miami 2013- stepped OOB with nothing but grass between him and the end zone.
Tampa Bay 2014- dropped an easy flea flicker pass
Here's hoping the Tampa one of one of his last.

Right, because this discussion (or at least up until the point that I originally posted) was about the Miami game and who was responsible for it

The transitive property is an a priori, formal proposition. In and of itself there is nothing to criticize. What matters is the content plugged into the transitive property. So I'd have to hear more about what we relying on the transitive property to show.
STDs problem is that he doesn't realize that it's the guys that look like they might swing both ways that get five times the pussy that some toolbag middle manager looking type gets. He's still sore that I have better musical taste than him.

Jerry Rice praises Antonio Brown
PITTSBURGH -- Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, who leads the NFL in catches and receiving yards, has also caught the attention of the player who is still the standard at the position.
Jerry Rice, widely considered the greatest wide receiver in NFL history, told Talk of Fame Network that Brown is the best young wide receiver in the game.
Brown's work ethic is becoming legendary around team headquarters, and twice a week during the season he will go to the gym after a full day at the Steelers' facility and work out. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said he sometimes has to tell Brown to tone it down a notch in practice so he doesn't wear himself out.
"His work ethic and demeanor and attitude are just unbelievable," Roethlisberger said of Brown.
