You know, the biggest difference between Tomlin and Cowher....both "players coaches"....Cowher's guys rarely lacked confidence. Or swagger. This team hasn't had any swagger since 2010.

Tomlin is fine for a vet highly talented team with established coordinators and a system in place. I would not choose Mike Tomlin to build a football team.

After 8 years, he has shown he is bright enough to be an assistant...to tinker with what others have built and perhaps make it better.

They'll get healthier....Ben/AB/Bell will play some games out-of-their mind....Team generally rises to compete with better teams. Likely 7-8 wins, book it.

I do not see this team beating the Colts, Ravens or the Bengals x2, They can easily lose to the Texans and the Chiefs and Falcons. Toss up games are Jets, Saints and Titans. There is no game that I think they can win easily.

I wouldn't fire anyone midseason. That's what you do for guys who are going 0 for the season. They will reevaluate after the season.

There's this sentiment of "oh, the Steelers will do their thing and never change anything." Really? This is an organization that "suggested" Chuck Noll get on with his life's work, you think anyone currently on this staff is safe? It was Deuce who said it was high time this team won another super bowl. You don't think he wants to win?

The time for evaluation is after the season. I'd probably fire Haley first, and hire a new OC to Ben's liking. Let him be part of the interviewing process like Cutler(?). Then get back to running strong and throwing long.
