It is unusually hot and humid in California now. Our offense needs to do something to give these guys a break.

Yup. They are tired, but they have to man up. They rotate a lot of players on that D so they are fresher than most would be.

Sustaining a series of first downs would be really nice. Scoring after them would be ideal.
