I do love how Mason handled about 5 terrible snaps until Kendrick said;; "handle this one 5 feet over your head in overtime, Mason!"

That kid has has some really really bad games this year. I honestly don’t know if he has the potential to become an above average Center.

Would be good to see him sit a game and reflect. He was awful today and last week.

You called a play to make a 58-yd FG a 56-yarder?

Fuck these asshole cunts
Yep…what the fuck was the point of that play? More stupid shit from the worst head coach in the league.

Imagine watching a QB throw for 4.8 YPA against the worst team and defense in the NFL and coming to the conclusion that this guy played well and should be the starter. Just imagine. While you’re at it, imagine Rudolph starting next week vs a team that pressures a QB and will put up points. Rudolph from behind against a pass rush should be brilliant.

Rudolph was far from great, but he played well enough to win.

Running game barely showed up.

Shit tons of drops.

Kendrick Green.

Dropped INT's or holding on INT's by Bush.

Sad shit.

TWO GAME WINNING DRIVES and fumbles ended them.
Don’t even try to spin this as Mason Rudolph played great and everybody else let him down. Finally after numerous chances to win the game on previous drives he made a couple of throws. Great for him. Not enough FS a really, truly bad defense.
Also there was like one drop. There were. A lot of contested catches because Rudolph couldn’t get the ball there on time.
Mason gave his guys shots at 50/50 balls. They didn't come up with a single catch on those.

So yeah, 1 drop.

2 fumbles on game winning drives in field goal range.

Yeah, but he did what he needed in OT and players fucked up. Those are facts.
There's no point.

Had DJ gotten loose and scored, Rudolph wouldn't have gotten any credit for that dime or the win.

If Bos would have kicked the game winner and Muth didn't fumble, we still would have won despite Mason.

It's the schtick around here.

The guy wasn't great but he did a lot of good today. In horrific weather.

He was significantly better than Goff.
Yeah the weather was shit. No Claypool no Juju. He didn't play great but he played good enough to win, that's for damned sure.

The last play was typical of the Steelers this season. They needed a few yards for better FG position.

That would have been a gain of one to a slow TE who would not have been able to get out of bounds.
Please don’t question our genius HC

Yeah, that was dumb. No time outs so the play had to go to the sidelines, and that's exactly where the lions defense was waiting.

Maybe they can use a ball and only the guy holding it can speak in the team meeting. When it’s the next guys turn to speak, Mason can bounce pass the ball to them.

In the red zone.

Rudolph is not starting material and I doubt Haskins is either. My guess is a 40 year old Ben would be a better option than both, BUT…….

I would honestly rather be in the Bears situation. They will most likely draft top ten and they have a young QB who has the potential to be a special player one day.

Who the hell knows where this affable jack ass will lead thus team?

I cannot believe they single-handedly lost this game in OT.

We had them.

Twice.
This was a team loss (error tie). EVERYONE deserves some blame except Boz and maybe Harris.

On Offense - If you can't score more than 16 points on the Lions, you deserve some blame. If you get the ball in OT at the 38 after a missed FG and 3 plays later proceed to have 4th and 23 from the 25, you are part of the problem. If you get the ball with 3 minutes in regulation at your opponent's 48 only needing a FG and you manage only 3 yards .. well you are part of the suck-age. Add in multiple critical turnovers and you get 16 points in 70 minutes.

On Defense - If you give up a critical score to tie the game just before halftime and rushing TDs of 28 & 42 yards, you played below the bar. If you have a penalty negate on OT turnover you are hurting the team. You could argue that holding your opponent to 16 points should be enough but when you know your team is using a backup QB , you need to step up and make things happen in your favor. Getting zero takeaways in this weather under the circumstances in just plain unacceptable.

Special teams, with the exception of Boz was anything but special. Penalties and poor play plaqued them all day.

I mean, it wasn’t like he was making great passes in OT. They were dump offs. That was a terrible QB performance.
In regulation, yes. He was horrendous.

In OT he did what was needed to win and then others shat the bed.

You know this to be true bc you watched the game.

Like B2B said. If Mason plays competent ball in regulation, it never gets to OT. But it did. Once there others decided they needed to step up and screw things up.

Such a frustrating tie.

Clank, Muth and Rudolph all goats.

3 turnovers!

Rudolph however is the biggest goat….had his thumb up his ass in quarters 1, 2, 3, and 4, causing DJ and Muth to be pressing to try to win the game in one play.
And BR hasn't done that?
They believe in him and just make the plays. I don’t blame them for believing in one guy over the other.

We scored 15 points in Cleveland.

....and won.

Rudolph had bad moments and good in terrible weather. Outplayed Goff by a lot.
