Canada started calling the roll-out passes. That is what started the train rolling and fixed the o-line issues tonight.stillcajun wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:57 amHe actually tells them the protection. OL has said this before. He tells them which way to slide or to block to the left, right or straight up. That tells me the current OL coach is ridiculously bad and the OC is not that far behind.El Kabong wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:49 amBen calling the plays made the Oline better?Orangesteel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:47 am
Because Ben was calling the plays, we spread em’ and shred em’.
Then Tomlin called three straight runs and punted.

Block in the back really killed us. Steelers would’ve had the ball with plenty of time in great FP.

Welcome back..this guy isnt ready to retire, but behind this oline/defense/coaching staff why bother. It makes his accomplishments even more impressive than they already are when you really think about it.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:57 amWelp, Ben reconverted me tonight. Born again. Ben needs to go to the deuce and tell him “I’m coming back and calling all of my own plays. If you want the retard in the shades over that’s fine but keep him the fuck out of my way”
Why does it take halftime for these fuckwad coaches to make adjustments, basically fucking up the entire half? If they don't let the 1st half to get away from them like they do, Steelers win these games!

Witherspoon might need to stay on the field when Haden comes back. Sutton to the slot.

Again, Tomlin is signing off on this shit show.
But the defense in the first half was unlike anything I’ve ever seen.
When a capable defense comes out like that, it is 100 percent unequivocally on coaching.
Tomlin can go fuck himself
Guy is a fraud. Has to bail on the team and then have Ben bail him out again
Disgusting fraud folly
I'm burning into memory those 3 seconds of Ben apparently snapping at Tomlin in the first half as he walked off the field. Regardless of what was said

I’d be totally onboard if they fired Tomlin and Ben comes back next year with a coach he hand picks.

It was a perfect throw and could Have saved the season.
Now it is pretty much a prayer to make the playoffs.
Thanks Tomlin!

That ball has to be 100% caught. It was perfectly thrown, he had 2 hands on and around it.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 5:07 amNot disagreeing, just saying the ball got to him cleanly.Steelperch wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 4:58 amIt was punched out by Harrison Smith. It was an immediate punch out from behind. He had it caught with his hands, but didn’t have time to pull it in. Ben threw it perfectly, Muth got both hands on it in a crowd, Smith perfectly timed the break up. Nobody is at fault there.Greeksteel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 5:10 amThat ball has to be 100% caught. Tomlin blaming play in the trenches on both sides.
Funny how when Canada put in the roll-out passes the problems went away.
On defense I thought the D-line played really well when they started calling the proper defenses.
Problem in the trenches is the coaching and on D it is the coaching and Bush!

Muth might have been better to stiff arm locked elbows catch it and hold it straight out instead of bringing it to bread basket for the split second time needed for a TD. It is only a split second. Rookie will learn hopefully.Steelperch wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 5:12 amIt was an immediate punch out from behind. He had it caught with his hands, but didn’t have time to pull it in. There is some serious mental deficiencies going on with Claypool. He’s getting roasted on social media which might be a good thing for him.
That little celebration cost us probably 6-8 seconds, longer than I originally thought because the ball was being kicked around and fumbled by the official.
Just absolutely mind numbing stupidity.

He was about to be blasted in the face from the front side while simultaneously having the ball punched out from the back. Not much anyone could do there. There was nowhere to turn and shield the ball which he didn’t even have time to secure. Great play by Smith.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 5:15 amMuth might have been better to stiff arm locked elbows catch it and hold it straight out instead of bringing it to bread basket for the split second time needed for a TD. I was shocked to see Green grabbing the ball off of Claypool. Didn’t think he had the wherewithal. After he grabbed it that is when the officials fumbled it. The refs were dropping balls all night. I saw Harris toss a couple and they would just drop in with butter fingers.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Fri Dec 10, 2021 5:15 amThere is some serious mental deficiencies going on with Claypool.
