Re: Steelers vs Raiders Gane Comments Thread
Im in "max protect all downs" territory.
Ben won't throw to his first read on a 3rd and short, and there isn't time to go to a second or third read.
He also can't move so there is that... but this offense continues to put itself in predictable situatoins... maybe thats more to do with all the shotgun.

Not really. It's a good, not great, throw. It's about a 6" behind Claypool, which let the defender get a hand in there. The throw is in the window, but about 12-18" from where it needed to be to beat good coverage.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 5:43 pmJesus Christ…nit picking?
How about Claypool high point it before it gets into CBs catch radius.
To borrow from the PFF vernacular, it's a quality NFL throw but not a "top 5%" type throw.

We're in trouble with these refs today.
Big trouble.

Oh what a bunch of crap, the QB is a runner there.

Don’t understand how that wasn’t called.
Ben’s receivers have to start making a play or two for him. He’s hanging in there against the rush, waiting for them to get open, and has laid a few right in guys hands and they haven’t come down with it or have given up.

I don't think Ben will get a call like that for his entire career,

In fairness, we're in big trouble with a shitty offense.

That’s a legit call. You can’t do that to a QB

If that were a running back, which he was at that point = no call

Meh, QB has to get down sooner.

That's on the players. They came out flat.

Ben would NEVER get that call. He hit the QB shoulder to shoulder.ToddHaleysNineIron wrote: ↑Sun Sep 19, 2021 5:46 pmI don't think Ben will get a call like that for his entire career,
