So will the Patriots play 2 deep to take away Brown and let Bell run wild until they close it down in the red zone?

Easier said than done... but the Steelers have to find a way to attack the middle of the field and use some intermediate routes.

Now that the game is over and can relax, this was the best way to win.

Steelers are going to hear all week about how they can't beat Pats. Offense is going to hear shit all week.

I say the O lights it the fuck up next week....with TD's.

Bill will try to take Bell away.

He might even shift coverage away from Brown and onto Lev.

He always tries to take away an offense's most potent weapon, and right now that is Bell.

No. KC has a weak offense and defense - they won with turnovers and ST. I think there was more there for the taking, but PIT was content to kick FG's because no one is afraid of KC.

If NE would play that same D, we would not attack it the same way. They aren't going to ask Ben to be a game manager against NE, and if they do they should be fired.

And when you consider that KC probably watched the film of what the Steelers did to them last time - you can understand why it was an effective strategy.
That being said - even just one TD really changes what KC would have had to do.

I actually think it was good strategy for Tomlin to save up the TD's for next week when we'll need them more.

Let's be honest - we know how next week will go.

A starting drive, moving into Pats territory with big chunks of yards from Bell and Brown.

Then Todd Haley swings his 9 iron and calls in a double reverse with Ayers being asked to throw back across the field to Villenueava. It gets picked off.

You spread NE out early to get a few scores. Mixing in bell

Have to make them pay and I hope Ben decides to take extra practice this week

the Patriots give up anything in front of the endzone. Entire D is predicated on no TDs, take advantage if TO opportunity arises.

If you get a pick, fumble recovery, slant, etc. it has to go to the house. You cant be excited with a great play that ends up at the 5. no good.

What I like is that that play relied on two of our best players letting them do what they do best. It wasn't asking Ben to run for six yards or someone other than Ben to throw it or a fake punt to Villy as the intended receiver. It ain't rocket science, let your best players do what they do best.

Did you happen to watch the Pats yesterday? Not much better on their end.

News flash: this is playoff football when teams play defense. The four best defensive teams in the playoffs played in the AFC this weekend.

Key is an early score, get a second and the dam breaks.

KC went as expected, win ugly. Against fat Andy the tortoise can win the race. Against Belicheat Ben needs two first half TDs and 350 yards. We have to hit Brady. He's 40, he never looked as bad as he did yesterday.

It looked to me like Ben didn't like the initial reads, and then he extends the play as only he and Rodgers can...and AB got the improv.

It was a GREAT throw on the move. I guarantee that's not what was drawn up. The young guys are still cutting their oats - this offense misses Bryant/Coates.

But, hey, YUGE day for the Outlaw!!!! I liked seeing that. The gameplan, although very conservative, was highly effective. I just wish they had a better RZ plan.

Key is to hit Tammy in the chops a couple times and see how he likes it. He'll react like a petulant child.

Lots to work on this week. Lots. The Pats feel the same way, believe me. Belichick will not be happy about the three turnovers yesterday. This is OUR TIME. This is TOMLIN'S TIME!!! Get 'er fucking done!
