Seems our coaches have the tendency to either over-scheme, and handcuff players....or under-scheme and rely too much on winning individual match-ups.

Coaching is big, and mostly why the above is true. Bell + DWill is very, very nice...except injuries and the coaches refusal to play both. And then we lost Bryant, Coates got hurt, and after Wheaton no one has that kind of depth.

It was obvious. Short field gets you the ball quicker, assuming you hold them to a FG or less (and then it's still a 3 TD game).
