So I researched a bit and I have to say there's nothing but support for all of his team players and a consistent comment about how grateful he is for being in his position. Remember the statement was during an interview and the buzz was all about the billion dollar lottery. I have a feeling it was absolutely humor. Read his twitter feed, I think you will appreciate a pretty decent young man enjoying his time in the NFL.

I really don't think there's any doubt it was a joke. How someone could get worked up over it is beyond me. Hell, you can make the argument he was making fun of Le'veon just as you as you can say he was supporting him. As in "Le'veon's demands are so outrageous, it's going to take 1.6 billion to get him to show up".

Who's to say? And even more importantly, who cares?

Never said it harmed anyone. It just rubs me the wrong way when he bumps the Bell story AND continues the false narrative that Bell isn't in uniform because of the Steelers. Doesn't matter if it was said jokingly or not. Bell isn't in uniform because of Bell, and there's NOTHING funny about that.

Imo, JuJu should shut the fuck up about a selfish, me-first outsider who isn't about the team, isn't contributing to the team, isn't laying it on the line like the team. JuJu should be propping up his TEAMMATES and joking with them.

He also said that he wanted the money so the Steelers could afford to pay Bell. That made me angry. It's one thing to be loveable and vulnerable by getting your bike stolen and then balling on the football field. But when you look like an idiot, not even knowing how the financial side of things work AND selling out for "your boy" who DOES NOT DESERVE MONEY FOR NOT PLAYING, then I have a hard time supporting you. As I stated, Bell isn't in uniform because of Bell, not because of the Steelers. You can disagree, that's your prerogative.

That narrative is most definitively bolstered when JuJu says that the Steelers need to come up with with more money to pay him. It puts the onus on the Steelers for bringing him back into the fold when the Steelers owe him nothing and shouldn't have to lift a finger to get him to suit up. Even as a joke, it brings that narrative back to the forefront. It is like an old post that needs to die and someone bumps because they think it's funny.

I have heard very, very few people blaming the Steelers for the Bell situation. I'm not saying there aren't people out there saying that, as they're people with dumb opinions everywhere, I just haven't heard very many people state that opinion, especially in recent months. There may have been more when the holdout first started and no one was sure what the Steelers had done, but as more details leaked out, more and more people sided with the Steelers and Bell is pretty much on his own in the court of public opinion these days.

You seem to have the same issue Nick has where you form some opinion that you think is controversial....except it's just not, yet you keep treating as if it were and getting yourself into a deeper hole than you ever need to be in.
