Did Ben get his vet day off today?

But the fact Ben is still making mistakes in critical situations that have cost us games...mistakes we don't expect a 15 year vet to make...because many times in pressure situations the Steelers look rushed and unprepared...because it's been 10 years since a Super Bowl title...Ben opens himself up to such scrutiny.

Last year's game v the Pats is the prime example. Extended timeout during the James' play review...Ben is off by himself.

Then the Steelers look rushed and unprepared for the last two plays and not on the same page on the last one.

That's what gets him the scrutiny.

Do you actually, think that fan “perception” of Ben Rothlisberger, means anything to Ben? How is your wanting to have a certain “perception” of Ben going to translate to on field performance, wins and losses?

That’s what I meant earlier, when I stated that you are exhausting. You seemingly, waste energy with your obsessiveness on the unsubstantiated and irrelevant.

He feels Ben gets a double standard treatment in how he is allowed to go off on other team mates and is an untouchable.

He compares this to OBJ who got his hand slapped for commenting about Eli and how other QBs dont call other players out.

https://youtu.be/1isU146P-40

He must have missed Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, & Aaron Rodgers' careers.

And this wasn't "going off". He was talking football about communication with AB and a hard lesson for Washington, who needs to bounce back. He wasn't throwing his OL under the bus for his failures like 2005 Manning.

Hey B2B..I live and die with Big Ben. See Dolphins, Bills, Jets, Browns, etc

When he went off it was last night on Sirius. I am sure its for effect too like Stern, etc but sounds like Ben really created a hornets nest.

You're never going to get B2B to find any fault with Ben but appreciate your effort.

I really don't care for this show but what they say about Ben and his absurd comment regarding INT's. Ben just being hard headed. I have to agree with everything Shannon said.

If you find yourself agreeing with Shannon Sharpe, Bayless, or the like about anything, it's time to re-examine your life choices.

Well Ben kind of has been forcing their hand to take extended looks at QB's with his retirement talk.

It's "one more year"...then it's "3-5". Well...after this season, that 3 is 2. I don't think it's that imprudent to start looking for a qb. The position isn't exactly saturated with top level talent.

That said, I was of the camp that they should've kept bryant instead of the trade and drafting of a qb.

It is a first B2B. What you stated is what my instinct was telling the whole time I wrote that post. What was said made sense for me though. :|

Could come back to reward the Steelers in the end. Should Rudolph pan out with some degree of success he could be trade bait. Dobbs might even be categorized in that same trade bait discussion the way the NFL seems to be trending. If the Steelers could hire a QB coach to help develop guys behind Ben since Fichtner is running the offense. That could also contribute eventually paying dividends.
