one of the keys was Ridley getting the ball near our goal line and getting a big chunk of yards to get the offense out of that hole.

The other apology I owe is to Eli Rogers for dissing his presence on the field pre-game. Yes, his total yardage was only 20, but he immediately payed dividends.

Seriously, it's not talked about as a play of much import, but if he doesn't make a very difficult catch, in traffic, on the first series, then the Steelers would have been in the position of having won the coin toss, taken the ball which ordinarily doesn't happen, and then going 3 & out. Rogers saved that drive, which as we know turned into a score.

And then....outside the stat sheet, also drew a major DPI, directly preceding the Steelers 2nd TD.

So, for a guy with very modest production on the stat sheet, Eli Rogers made a major impact.

I feel bad for Gronk. Man his body looks used up. I can almost feel his low back pain watching him run on the football field. Get out while you are still semi functional!

Who had 17-10 in perfect weather? I sure as hell didn’t. The NFL is a grab bag this year; just all over the place.

This is where I was at. I sat there stunned looking at the TV thinking that I must be dreaming. Cheats blow it 4x in the RZ and there are no penalties called to save their bacon??? I just knew I was in bizarro world and as things finally set in my grinch smile came to the forefront. Best believe there was a lot of "Hell Yeah" and fist pumps as well.

I'd go so far as to say that getting Rogers, who Ben has some rapport with, back may have been the tide that raised all ships and gave him some confidence tossing it to Washington a time or two, as well. Rogers earned his check Sunday, maybe in a variety of ways.

In fact, the holding call is what backed up the pats before those four plays saving the steelers' bacon. That holding call was critical as it would have put the pats inside the five, I think. But me, like others here was yelling at the TV for the interceptions and the blown coverage TD to lacrosse.

I sat there at the end stunned and wondering how or why the pats couldn't score from the 20. Four tries and nothing. Two throws that sailed past the end zone? Then I had a flashback of the broadcast showing brady in a suit sitting on the sidelines before the game saying "Fuck" like five times. It almost looked like he knew they were going to lose.

I heard on one of the recap shows (I want to say it was Tunch) that Ben has been force feeding Washington the ball in practice for the last 2 weeks and that he has caught just about every pass that was sent his way in practice. He just has not done it live other than the catch before the lateral vs Oak and now vs NE. This week coming up is a huge one for him and the team. If we are able to get good production from Vanimal, Washington, Switz, Rogers and a few nice chunks from the RB position. It is really going to be hard for D's to figure out the best way to deploy against the personnel on the field because you still have to double AB and keep someone shading at least in JuJu's direction.

I don't feel bad for him. That guy has been living life as well as anyone ever has in the last 100 years. So his body hurts. My body hurts and I made about 40 or 50 million less than him so far.

First of all... a thank you for coming to this site and being interested and persistent in talking football. Kudos.

Saints have struggled with #2 WR and RB. I think you might see AB with a little more room in this game, as the Saints have to either worry about JuJu with single coverage or play Apple on AB with safety help. Protection is key. You get protection, Ben could just throw underneath to RB all day and likely move the football well.

I won't speak for Swiss, but I can tell you that the Pats fans I know believe the beginning of the end for their franchise has been in place for a while now. One of my more vocal friends predicted a Pittsburgh victory because the Patriots have sucked on the road. I am ashamed to say he was more confident in the Steelers than I was. Personally I never count out the Pats. As much as I hate the fuckers, I learned that lesson long ago.

New England sports talk radio was already on edge since the Miracle in Miami. Less than six hours after this loss there was already a post mortem on the dynasty being over.
Speculation also swirling around Brady for falling down for the sack to end the half against Miami, and micro-analysis of his mechanics with some of the late-game passes leading to the assessment that he is playing too "careful" (aka scared) and it might be his normal mode from now on and we should just expect less from him.
The somehow is the somehow

First of all, that guy is great. I want to bottle his energy.

Waaaaay better than steeler dad. This guy is hilarious.

The steelers need this guy for pep talks in the locker room before he gets an aneurism.

Thanks for posting.

That dude wants me to run through a wall. I would love to see Stephen A Smith try to debate this guy. lmao
I dont know if this is an act but I couldn't do this for 20 seconds at that energy level.

He should get a spot on Fox doing this reviewing the weekly games. Awesome Stuff.

That was not your #1 in the league Pts/Dr Patriots offense we beat on sunday...

But, after having more time to think about the win, our team, and the rest of the season...

I can envision a ps run with this group where our offense puts it all together for 3-4 games and yes we can't trust our D but we do have a player in the secondary (Haden) who can take the ball away as well as others on the D who can and have made plays for us this season. We just need the D to take the ball away in maybe 2 of those games which is possible. Maybe we get a Haden pick or a Watt strip sack, or maybe we get pressure up the middle and strip the ball out.

This team has a legit chance to make a ps run (if we get there). Yes, we had a 5 game win streak but it's possible this team has not peaked yet. The best could still be yet to come.

This weekend, starting saturday, is going to be great theater.
