What kind of draft pick could we get at 7-8-1?

A place to talk Steelers football and what else is going on around the NFL

I don’t care much for Christmas presents. And I almost always read the end of everything first (I’m a writer—it’s what we do). And the Steelers deserve to have a historic implosion. It’s poetic justice for the incompetence of these coaches and apathy of these players.

When I see END ZONE DANCES and COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS on the Steelers IG feed, I want to puke. FIRST…you win. THEN you dance. And in the off season, there’s plenty of time to help the kiddies with their crafts. NOW GO BREAK SOMETHING.

By the way, what’s the difference between ignorance and apathy? “I don’t know,” and “I don’t care.” Crackin’ myself up over here.

I would be delighted to slide into a 4 or 6 seed and then run the table. But since I do not believe this will happen, the next best thing is a monstrous inside linebacker in the draft. So, that’s what I’m rooting for.

I believe the 4th seed will be our only option. We either win the AFCN or we're at home in January. I have to imagine we'll drop at least 1 of the 3 games left which will put us in a precarious position.

If we drop 2 out of 3 then season is basically over. Ravens have games against the Bucs, Chargers, and Browns so they can easily go 2-1 which would seal the division. Then we're duking it out with Tennessee and Indy, but moreso Tennessee. Titans play the Giants, Skins, and then Colts.

If we took care of business against Denver and Oakland we're sitting pretty right now. This team really fucked themselves the past 3 weeks. Now we have to beat at least 1 of the 2 best teams in the league (NE or NO). Both of which can feast on our secondary because worse quarterbacks haven't had many issues. Then they have to take care of business against Cinci.

It's amazing this season might come down to our coach being arrogant enough to think a 4 point lead, on the road, against NFL competition is a good time to let your guard down.

If we’d taken care of business, we’d be 10-3. Maybe 11-2 (RAVENS LOSS). Looking at a final record of 11-5, maybe 12-4. But we didn’t and we’re not. Tomlin should be run out of town for not bothering to prepare his team for ANY professional football team—regardless of how BENEATH him they were.
