Canes winning, CBJ won, etc. Wrong time to be blowing 2 goal leads with 3 minutes left.

Giving up games like this at this time of year usually spells trouble.

I give them credit for their play given they didnt have Dumo or Letang for 2 periods. But that won't matter when they add up the points for playoff position.

I just keep waiting for them to turn it on and it isn't happening. They are in trouble.

I love how Brian Elliot bested Matt Murray. Hilarious.

Normally when you lose a game you should have won you look back at wasting a great goaltending effort. Last night that wasn' the case but the play of the 4 D men has to be appreciated. They really played well considering what was asked of them.

Here are some numbers that help explain why the Pens have been so average(at best) the past 10 games.

Ten games, three players who played in all 10 games.

Guentzel:2 goals 4 assists
Kessel: 0 goals 6 assists
Hornqvist: 0 goals 1 assist

Those are core players who are not putting the puck in the net.

Rob Rossi complaining about the conditions??? WTF? they both had to play in it. It was a factor on a lot of plays

Matt Murray lost that game.

Three straight, easyish shots on goal. Lazy.

It’s time to face it...this is an average team with an average goalie. A far cry from the back to back Cup teams from a little over a year ago.

It's weird for me, I really thought the team was coming together. I like Bugs and McCann. Blueger was doing some nice things. Had confidence Murray would come around.

Now Murray blows a game and we lose two important players.

I still think this team can compete, but Tuesday is a huge game.

Yup- no other way to put it.
That and the refs trying to even things up was a bunch of BS. I meant the Flyers literally committed ZERO infractions the entire night? And they call that ticky tack slash...just wow

I did a little looking but found nothing about any moves the Pens might make to fill the D corps while Letang and Dumo heal. I'm assuming Dumo is out for a while and who knows with Letang. Anyone hear of any call ups?

I wonder if Sully goes with Murray on Tuesday? Dude was ice cream soft on the last two goals.

I'm hearing McQuaid as a depth D and that's what I think JR will do: minor depth move on defense

Dumo has a concussion. No real news on Letang.

Neither practiced today, Teddy B was absent from practice as well.
