Re: Pens vs Jackets 2-26-19
I'll be honest after the Jackets cut the lead to 3-2 I thought the Pens might blow it. Murray seemed to really tighten up his game from that point on and the rest of the team found that groove they had earlier.
Credit goes to Bob as well-the Birdies are in his head.
They did a nice job on Panrin who usually torches the Pens.
Gudbranson can impress me if he goes after Dubinsky the next time we meet up with the Jackets. Dubinsky was such a fucking tool last night.

Getting his ass beat isn't going to make Dubinsky any less of a tool.

No, it won't but retribution to this collective third party would be a pleasure to witness.

Bryan Rust has a lower-body injury. Chad Ruhwedel, who has his right arm in a sling, is upper obviously.

Rust (lower-body) and Ruhwedel (upper-body) are out longer-term, per #Pens HC Sullivan -SK
Rust was apparently seen in a walking boot.
I'll bet Teddy B is on his way back.

It looked like his left leg though he was putting some weight on it. I suppose an ankle is better than a knee. Depending on Letang and Dumo's status losing Ruhwedel is big for the rest of the week.
Hopefully, it is Bluegar coming back.
I was surprised at Trotman over Prow, so hopefully if there's a call up, it's him. Been lighting it up in WBS.

Trotman played surprisingly well last night
But check out the ice times...Riikola seems to be falling out of favor quickly
Is that a handedness issue? His PT has been dwindling, despite having a little more experience with the club this season than some of the replacements.
Guddy arrived at practice today, per DK.

Blueger has officially been recalled.
Reading between the lines here: Blueger was sent down to WBS on Monday in order to get the Pens under the 23 man roster limit, and he was waivers exempt. Now they're recalling him on an Emergency Basis, which means he must be sent down as soon as they have 12 healthy forwards.
That has to be a sign that the Pens are not expecting Rust, Dumo, or Letang to be out terribly long, because it would have been much easier to IR any one of them

Why Blueger is bouncing around and Garrett Wilson is seemingly untouchable is beyond me.

Blueger is waivers exempt. Wilson is not.

Trotman has 70+ games of NHL experience and I don't believe Prow has any. With Letang and Dumo out Sully probably wanted the experience angle.

I would think, considering the immediacy of the situation, best hands on deck would trump holding on to a fringe NHL player like Wilson. He is, with apologies to his family, a dime a dozen.
I can understand the experience angle with Trotman, certainly in the context of the current injury situation. I'm excited by what I'm hearing, and some of the limited stuff I'm seeing, on Prow.

Worth noting, for reasons of optimism, that not only has Jack Johnson just put together likely his two best games in a Penguin sweater, but is a +7 since January 1st.
