Caps won both of their games against the Canes, as well.
I think we can overtake the Islanders. Caps are going to be a hard sell now, though. Basically going to need them to go .500 in their final 4 games to have a chance, and we'd need to win all of our games.
The bad news is that the Canes still have 5 games remaining and are still within striking distance. So we definitely can't slump. And with our remaining schedule, we shouldn't (2 games against the Red Wings and 1 against the Rangers).
Sundays matchup against the Canes could be huge if we don't win tonight.

With the exception of Toronto, every Eastern Conf. team in the playoff picture has a winning record over their last 10 games.

So long as the Pens finish in the #2 or #3 slot, I'll be happy.
It warms my heart to see Columbus' all-in push likely end with playing the best regular season team in nearly 25 years, or missing the post season completely.
Toronto is going to have some tough decisions to make in the offseason - I don't know how they extend Marner without blowing up their Defense (which isn't great to begin with).
