we fucking won...
Re: we fucking won...
Guys whining about other guys whining. Don't get better than that.
I'm happy with the win. Very happy actually.
We showed we have some pieces. We also showed we still have some major holes.
And some of those holes had headsets on instead of pads.

Right? Thinking the whining about the whining is far more pathetic and unnecessary especially from a known crygal troll.

We are 1-0, Ravens are 0-1 in the Division and Ben didn't get hurt. Great day.
How did the Raven's O-Line look today in comparison to the Stains?

Yeah, again 1-0.
Ben looks dominant, Wheaton should have made some eat crow. Brown is a ninja. Bell plays like hes to stoned to feel pain. (For Ziv)
Did anyone not expect growing pains on D? They flashed dominant at times. By the end of three year, im liking our chance's.

I saw Flacco threw it 62 times. That's insane. Couldn't get shit going in the running game, apparently.
Thursday is gonna be very very interesting

Oh no you didn't bring "I'm Gonna Get You Sucka!" into the mix. That is fucking hilarious. Spot-on analogy too. My friends and I were watching the first half like "Wow! This is a brand new Steeler team!" and then the wig and the titties fell off. lmao
But alas... we fucking won.

1-0 vs division.
A lot of good things happened on the field today. Almost all of them on offense.
We have major issues on defense. But many of us already knew that. We just have to hope the defense improves over the course of the season and that we can get enough W's along the way to stay in contention.
I really liked what I saw from the offense today.
But did anyone expect our defense to look like a high school team getting abused in the trenches?

Pierce looked awful but against us, guess we will see
ummm...pretty much every post I've made over the last month has said essentially that.Hinestuff wrote:Havoc wrote:1-0 boys.

The talent margin between a 12-4 team and a 4-12 team in the NFL is razor thin. The Browns are honestly a QB and a Josh Gordon suspension away from being a playoff caliber team. I understand the concern over the colossal egg this team laid in the second half, but I expect Cleveland to surprise a few teams this year. Just be glad we weren't one of them.

A win is a win, as my bro, Jack, said. It shows up in the W column. That's all we, as fans, can ask. Stack them and move into the post-season.

In the end this game turned out like I thought it would. Ugly and the Steelers pulled it out.
I did not expect the 1st half explosion of O and was pleasantly surprised.
Lets face it, this was a great opening weekend. Ravens go down, Patriots go down. We didn't lose anyone to injury.
Waiting to see us "ease into" the Ravens game.

Far as I'm concerned, we have a 1 game lead in the race for a postseason bye right now, balt, ne, and indy going down. Cinci with denver, ne, @new orleans and @indy are starting behind far as I'm concerned.

Rah, rah, rah. Sorry to be OBJECTIVE, but the Steeler RUN defense sucks worse than anytime in my memory, which goes back quite a ways. In case you missed it, that was Brian f*cking Hoyer at QB and some no-names at RB & WR that shredded our D in the 2nd half.
The offense will need to keep putting up 30 points to win games and they may do it if the moronic coaching staff doesn't pack it in too early like they did yesterday.

Hoyer beat the Bengals last year.
The Browns had the #9 defense last year.
Their rookie Running backs are impressive.
I remember a nobody Steeler LB totally destroy the Ravens on National TV.
Great gutty win!!!

I think the biggest problem on our defense is McClendon. Dont get me wrong: I don't think he is our worst player on defense (Cam Thomas), but I think he's the position we have to upgrade to get the defense back to above-average.
This scheme needs three elite players: #1CB, OLB, and NT (not saying having more is bad (e.g. Pola), but those are the three keystones). Right now we don't have elite players at any of those positions. Our best players are at MLB and DE, which are the wrong places to allocate your talent in our scheme.
McClendon is fine, but he's JAG. An elite NT allows everyone else to fly around and make plays because they aren't having to invest so much time and focus during the first 3 seconds of the play on stopping the run. McClendon is not elite, and he's not even a great fit in our scheme. Without a Hampton caliber NT, suddenly the whole defense is constantly reacting to the run. We have had plenty of great defenses where at least one of our two OLB was mediocre at stopping the run, but if you got one guy who shuts down the middle, its not too hard to deal with.
Hoyer looked good yesterday because they play actioned us to death, and it worked every time. You can watch the tape and see how every single play action, our guys freeze and have to reverse their momentum when they figure out its a pass. It worked, because we needed all 7 guys committed to the run to stop it consistently. I'm not sure what we do about this, because we simply don't have anyone who is a consistent one-on-one win at the point of attack in our front seven. Four years ago, we had Hampton and Harrison, who won pretty much every time, and prime Kiesel who won more often than not.

I'd like to see big Dan get a hat and play some spot duty.
