That'd be great.

I don't visit Stillers but I seem to recall the last time I waded into that cesspool there was a 10+ page thread about lynching Tomlin.

Are you being serious? If so, that is seriously insulting to all the great contributors who spend hours each week analyzing and writing the front page articles.

When you have mods who make rules and then refuse to enforce those rules for certain people, that happens.

Hopefully that changes so we can get back to talking football.

I agree.

I keep hearing about playing down to opponents. That suggest Steelers are a good team and they aren't.

Mike Tomlin, Ben Roethlisberger, down to Greg Warren are 18-18 in their last 36 games

None of them are very good right now. Average at best

I see what you did there.

So, serious questions? Do you believe Mike Tomlin as a coach is more important to this team then Ben as a QB? Do you believe that Greg Warren is at his job then Ben? If you had to get rid of 2 of these 3, which would be the one you'd keep, or does it even matter if all are equally worthless? If so, would you just fire all 3 and start over fresh?

This is Bens team, they ride as far he takes them. He needs to be the leader, the coach, the motivation and the playmaker

I've talked about this at length, Tomlin doesn't structure his leadership to be the coaches. Their structure is in-house in the locker room with the players. And it needs to be Ben

We've convinced herself he already has a seat in Canton. He still in his prime and .500 doesn't cut it. Stats be damned nobody affects the win or loss of a football game more than a quarterback. I hold him to a much higher standard than everyone on the team and deservedly so.

He's so goddamned damage conscious these days it's almost like he doesn't want to hold anyone accountable for their fuck-ups when it needs to be him but elevates the performance of everyone around him. It needs to be him setting his defense up, not the other way around.

We are 11 years into this shit. It's time for him to take the reins of this team and run with it and drag it into the postseason

Hypothetical question: Steelers go 8-8 again this season and miss the playoffs. You have to get rid of either Tomlin or Ben (assume no trade consideration is available). Who do you pick?

If it is Ben's team, why don't you roll with him on 3rd and 5? If it isn't his team, how can he take the reigns when he gets handcuffed by his owner/GM/head coach/etc.?

If we are 11 years into this shit, which produced so far 3 SB appearances and 2 rings, then that shit doesn't stink like all the other shit that preceded Ben after Bradshaw left, IMHO. You think this shit stinks, you are in for a real stinky situation when Ben goes.

IC the HC punts. I try to win the game...like Herm Edwards. PA pass. No one on the planet thought they would do anything but run on 3rd down.

Hedge your bets? With a shit defense? Ok.

This is a fallacious argument.

That the situation may get worse if Ben leaves does not mean that Ben is playing good football right now.

Yes, the Browns dropped passes.

But Ben also has made his share of shitty plays in games over the past couple of years...including today when he overthrew a wide open Antonio Brown twice.

I don't agree with ALL the vitriol IC is sending Ben's way...But Ben is not above blame, nor is he worthy of all the excuses fans make for him.

What TWO plays did Ben overthrow a "WIDE OPEN" Antonio Brown?

If you are including the flea flicker, you're a FUCKING IDIOT.

If you aren't, then sorry in advance.
