Nope. I don't want to see Harrison drop into coverage ever again.
He did author possibly the most spectacular play in Super Bowl history doing that though. Just saying....
If Harrison wants his job back, as in, 10-15 plays a game, maybe now that he's been out of the league for 2 1/2 years he'd be more content with that.
I'd expect he could still hold the point of attack, as well as upset and beat a lot of offensive tackles around the end. His size and strength has always been unique.
Yes. But he's not the 2005 harrison. And that was a unique, short of the goal line situation.
You want him covering a TE or even a RB in today's game?
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
Why stop at James Harrison? Let’s bring back James Farrior to fill in for Devin Bush and either Willie Parker or the Bus to help with the running game. Obviously those guys are probably just as good now as they were in their primes.
James Harrison is finished as an NFL player.
Of course I say this from my keyboard but would never have the balls to say it to his face.
I can't blame him for wanting to leave when Tomlin was playing tackling dummies Moates and Chickillo over him.
It's not just that, interview from way back where he was talking about Cowher and Tomlin. Just lit up when talking about Cowher. I'm not sure Deebo has that much respect for Tomlin, to be honest (which would sync with how he forced his way off the team).
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Ben comes back, Tomlin doesn't = CHAMPIONSHIP!!!
Another name that has suddenly popped up in the last 40 hours is Jachai Polite. Rams just cut him and that is the 3rd team to cut him since he was a 3rd rounder in 2019 by the Jets but putting him on the practice squad and seeing what he has as a player sounds like a good move in my book. What is the worst case? He sucks and they cut him in a week or three? He just needs to be in a system that takes advantage of his skillset?
I know there were people on this board that were high on him coming into the draft in 2019.
Maybe he needs there to be a lot of talent around him to excel. That is what we have right now.

The Rams defense has some talent. I’m sure he could get a lot of Dong sacks if he could have seen the field. He reminds me of a less talented Clowney in that he hasn’t made those fundamental adjustments to his game and pro mentality in order to maximize his talent. I’m sure if they had any interest Avery would give them all the insight they would need to make that decision. So unless he’s bananas good he’ll stay on the couch until training camp.
I’m a Gator- so I’m not down on him. Plenty of Gators on this team that could coach him up. At this point in the season we don’t need a guy on this team that needs to be mentored into being mentally ready to learn the defense. Tomlin would eat that guy alive

I don't know how much Williamson really knows about him. Polite was cut August 31st 2019 (his rookie camp) and he didn't even make it out of camp with the Jets. He then had 3 weeks on the Seahawks practice squad and then cut (not sure if that was due to them needing the spot or him not being good). I see he re-signed with the Rams practice squad so this is all a moot point now anyway.
Point taken @COR-TEN . Deebo in coverage not something we want to witness.
The point FC made on the podcast about substituting an additional D-lineman in somewhere is well taken also. Push comes to shove, the run defense should be able to anchor down if necessary.
