That was my man from WVU Stedman Bailey with the punt return TD.

amazing punt return fake......
love how austin stumbled backwards as well............
the punter had to be screaming his head off..................while watching the backs of his 10 team mates.
thats as crazy of a play you will see in a very long time.
i bet our ST have been working on something similar....tho that certainly can be dissmissed as trickery.......
trickery wins games.
trickery won that game

the most impressive parts were:
3. Austin carrying out the fake of going for the fake ball and falling down
2. Bailey catching the ball while barely looking up to locate it and running towards his own end zone
1. Bailey running full bore downfield 45 yards, catching the ball, and then running full bore back upfield 90 yards. Awesome.
I heard today that re: the fake punt at the end of the game... their All-Pro punter, Hekker, was the QB for a 2-time State Champion football team in Oregon... he's 4/5 with a TD and 156.2 passer rating for his career in the NFL.

You (and they) are wrong. Hekker went to Bothell High School in Bothell, WA, about 20 minutes north of Seattle. Played for Coach Bainter. After I graduated, they really turned that program around.

It's amazing, really. The program was basically garbage, Bainter came in, and they have been a powerhouse ever since. Hekker is a good guy and it's really cool to see him get some exposure, especially as a punter. Though he did almost single handedly beat this city's beloved Seahawks, so there are some bitter fans this morning round these parts.

The thing is, all 10 guys are supposed to know where the punt is going prior to the snap. For them to get fooled by that is just bad preparation

Agreed. No one wants to say it, but that is more a Seahawks coaching failure, than a Rams coaching win. Shit like that shouldn't work at the high school level. Bush league.
But cool play, nonetheless.

If the Steelers attempted that return play, whoever was supposed to catch the ball likely bobbles it, the ball rolls into the endzone and the opponent falls on it for an easy TD.
