Montravis and Leglue
Re: Montravis and Leglue
Would Tuitt need one of those Walmart scooters for obese people to get on the field and is that in the regulations?
Montravious was making plays sideline to sideline, he looked athletic and like he wanted to destroy people. That's an improvement.

Adams was a dark horse fav of mine years ago that I wanted the Steelers to draft. If I remember right, he didn't finish his college career on a high note, disappointed teams, scouts and he ended up sliding in the draft to the 3rd round. Has always had an under achiever label placed upon him and it seems to have followed him throughout his NFL career.
But maybe, just maybe, Adams has finally realized that you don't get too many chances, and maybe this is his last chance to become a real player, a legitimate starter and have a long NFL career with all the money that entails.
He ran a 4.87 at the combine, he has quickness and snap to him, usually the first off the defensive line AT the snap. You get him to run that motor red hot all the time and you might have your new starting NT. The talent is there.
I know people are down on our defensive line but I see a real nice core going into next year with Cam, Wormely, Loudermilk and Adams. They just need to draft 2 more players. I see Tuitt gone and he would be in his last year anyway, maybe he retires or is traded?

Alualu will be back as well, he signed a two year deal this off-season.Scunge wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 12:22 amAdams was a dark horse fav of mine years ago that I wanted the Steelers to draft. He did a presser yesterday and said all the right things. Well spoken. Was excited to be in the soup!
Maybe all these guys look like all stars when they are blocking Bush. Maybe Bush has just completely decimated the talent evaluation of the O-line…
They fire off the line seal the IMLB and look like world beaters!
I'd start a seal at MLB instead of Bush.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
Yeah, but a healthy dose of fish grease in the smoke as the opponent comes out of the tunnel, and you'll see one hungry seal giving 100% effort on every play. There are, of course, potential PETA issues with the Shadyside Bistro Crowd to consider.

Ha
As far as Leglue, wouldn’t it be awesome if this guy can truly play and becomes entrenched as a starter?
I don’t know much about him…all I can say is based on what I saw while he was in, and he looked competent
We need a break….finding a guy who has heart, desire and a mean streak would be truly awesome.
Because God knows our Oline needs serious help.
Who was the one who said that bringing guys off the street to replace what we were putting on the field would improve the team. Now if the can just do it with Bush.

Don’t forget the red ball. It would distract everyone while the waddles and slides are occurring!
My very glass half full prediction/hope for the OL this year was that we'd have found a couple of those by now... I'd take Leglue as the first. If nothing else, he's already tops on the 2021 Steelers All-Name Team. Really need those rookies to show me something as the season wears on, though my hopes are fading a bit. Dotson... if Leglue has the flexibility to kick him back over to his natural position, that might be a positive. Turner? Well, doesn't seem like there's much juice left in that grapefruit.Jizz Mop wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 1:47 pmHa

Leglue was a tackle in college... might be a candidate outside, too.

At first look, his hand pop, feet, and balance were excellent.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 2:43 pmLeglue was a tackle in college... might be a candidate outside, too.
When Dotson gets back, maybe he can replace Turner’s slumping ass.
Nope, won’t work…impossible to evaluate wrist circumference.LakecrestSteeler wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 2:09 pmDon’t forget the red ball. It would distract everyone while the waddles and slides are occurring!

Yet another case where talent evaluation and putting the best player on the field doesn't happen in the Tomlin regime.
They threw 57 in there and the guy was making the tackles 55 was supposed to be making.

"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."
To be fair, they don’t play the same position and 57 just joined the team a week ago.

Yeah, one guys eats blocks the other is supposed to tackle the guys coming through the gaps that are now easier to read.
Then again, I'm shocked when 55 is on the field that the refs don't flag us for having only 10 players on the field.
Preaching to the choir guys. I was one of the few that originally stated drafting , let alone trading up to draft, Bush was a huge mistake. A few of us actually watched him play at Michigan instead of falling for the overhype. (Admittedly, I didn’t think he’d be THIS bad!) Makes one wonder what the hell Steelers scouts are looking at.
I gotta say, even though I watched him get run over plenty, I agree, I had no idea the instincts and effort (like, not even trying, for fuck's sake) would be this awful in the NFL. Just crazy.Jobu wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 9:22 pmPreaching to the choir guys. I was one of the few that originally stated drafting , let alone trading up to draft, Bush was a huge mistake. Point taken, but the underlying problems not fixed after months and months of camp and preseason and reg season games...this guy shows up and is all of a sudden making plays and Bushy is still out there running around watching plays unfold and not getting involved.
He may not be any good this week, who knows.
Tomlin talks about JV vs varsity, and Bush is out there playing like a bad HS player. Truly amazing to watch and the season's nearing a close.

Is all that jabberin fool is good for. Fancy catch phrases and upper level wordsmiffin…Tomlin talks
I watched the game again while doing some practicing...
Bush is beyond bad. I mean, he does everything bad. Accepts blocks, stands around, no leverage, doesn't make plays, doesn't seek to make plays, doesn't contain, doesn't bother with hitting anyone...
It is amazing to watch. He's out of position at all times.

What exactly is wrong with Dotson? Is it a high ankle sprain? Is he due back anytime soon?
