I don’t know about the rest of you, but I am on some Facebook Steeler fan pages. I mainly read the comments and don’t post.
God damn there are so many dumb, illiterate and ignorant Steeler fans out there.
So many right now think Rodgers is our next QB. And it’s the stupid stuff they type that make me never want to type or respond. Scary how many idiots populate our fan base.
It’s really bad
I left the various fb groups for that reason
Saved myself the frustration

I’m shocked! I was certain he was coming to Pittsburgh…I mean, we all saw the wink…right?

Why is he Qaron?
Because he didn’t want to get jabbed?
I thought we were super close to getting him. I’m a little shocked we have to move to plan B.

Also lied about it to make his public perception look better

50 mill per year? I really think there are teams out there operating under a different salary cap structure than the PS.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

They’re denying the 4 year/$200 mil report. But he’s definitely said he’s staying with the Packers.

I mean, that's good, because that would be insane, especially considering some of their other offseason business. How does Jordan Love feel right about now, by the way, if that term number is close to true?

That’s why I never understand why some folks get so worked up about the salary cap. There are ways around everything. If there is a player out there you want, go get him. Worry about the salary cap later. There are ways to restructure and convert salaries to bring the team in line with the yearly limit. Look how bad the Steelers situation was. They were still able to afford Derek Watts bloated salary after all was said done.

I don't think Jordon Love is feeling the Love.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Maybe after a close eye on the guy for two years, the Packers have realized he isn’t what they thought he was.

The problem is that "later" always gets here at some point.
Green Bay is still $30m over the cap, and that doesn't include this extension for Rodgers nor the replacements for Adams & Tonyan. Don't even get me started on New Orleans.

It’s going to be 6yrs/$200M, two void years and probably a shitload up front.

NFL Network is saying this Rodgers extension frees up around $21m in cap space. However....they're apparently going to tag Davantae Adams, which will offset that. They still need to clear $30m by the end of next week.

Yeah, based on this contact the league and the Packers really showed him for taking that stance.

Steelers played this the right way. Their offer wasn’t going be the highest, we all knew that. But best case they’re able to grab the top qb in the game. Worst case they drive up the price tag for said qb and hopefully wreck the packers cap.
In the end seems like Rodgers chose the path of absolutely least resistance

the Steelers had no hand in any of this, just FUD from elsewhere. All bullshit, all of it.
Coach Mike's got Plan Z coming right up.
If James G came to PIT it could ruin his career, he needs to make money before people realize he's a ham and egger.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."
