At least Willis has an NFL arm. There is some potential, with an offense tailored to him where I could see him succeeding. He's not ready to play now and he may never become a good reader of the field. But at least the potential is there.

Kenny is competitive and he does some things very well. But he's dependent on guile and tight-window throws in the short and intermediate––one of the reasons he shined in Goal Line. But those windows are going to get a lot smaller and the lack of velocity is going to lead to some problems if he attempts those late, across his body throws to the middle of the field like are all over his tape. he's not Patrick Mahomes, so he's going to have to learn a whole lot more patience and humility in his game.

Eleby is a similar prospect but I think he shined in his toughest matchups, unlike Pickett.

Coan and EJ Perry just showed flashes at times of "it" and their tools are a little better than Pickett's. Honestly, there's not a whole lot of difference between 7-15 on this list, unless you're drafting for a nice QB2 to come off the bench in an emergency, in which case I'd take Eleby & Pickett.

I sincerely hope Tombert didn’t use the 20th overall pick (thankfully not the 15th overall pick) to draft an emergency off the bench quarterback.

I mean they did assign a rd 1 grade to Mason Rudolph so I guess anything is possible.

Yeah, like, I don't think they evaluated him the same way I did or by the same standards. i think they saw him as the most "ready to play" and with the highest floor. Which is at least close to true, even for me. (I think Cole Kelley is the closest to ready to play, because he ran NFL concepts and really ran the show. Pickett may have been running something closer to what Canada would like to do, which would make him more ready in that respect).

To me that statement of "round 1 grade" is yet another to toss in the pile of meaningless draft phrase BS.

Teams do that all the time and thus? I decided to ignore it.

Draft BS phrases include:

Plug and play
Steal
Perfect fit
Reach (gets overused)
Day 1 starter
Moving up boards.

There are plenty more of course and it is why the draft becomes so inflated to the point of parody.

"They reached for that guy in the 7th round!!"
