Mi$$ion dollar question: Is Ed Oliver (ankle) out again this week? He's the straw that stirs their front seven drink.

I think Kenny has a nice game and begins his ascent to becoming one of the better young QB's in the NFL, but the Steelers still lose something like 38-24.
I’d take that. KP learning the ropes while getting better and better each week all the while losing close games that puts us into position to be inside the top 10 come draft day is ideal.

This team isnt winning shit this year and I have no desire to go 8-8-1 or worse, 9-7.

Too many FAR better teams for this team to seriously be in the mix for anything.

I want NHALS over. I want some heat turned up on Jibbs Jabba and I want to be in position to grab the top available talent in each round.

We go into next expecting the playoffs and our young QB will be ready and up to the task.

This team has had a run of bad drafts. Be nice to not be in the 20s after another year of no playoffs or getting blown off the field in our one & done wildcard game.

I’m giving them a rebuild year.

Next year has better be ready to go after adding to the oline and heavy defense draft.

Connor On Kenny:
“A guy like Kenny, he’s looking at you and expecting for you to be on the same page as him,” Connor said. “There was that one play where he wanted George, George got pressed, he wanted to run the fade. And George just ran the eight-yard hitch. And George knew what the right thing was but [Pickett] was like, ‘no, when you get that look, I want you to run the fade.’ Seeing him do that, grab George, confront him like that, ‘I want you do to this,’ that was really cool to see. Seeing him take charge. When you see a QB do that, it’s really cool to see.”

Is it the money or your confidence of broken hearts come Sunday, or KC getting credit for the pledge?

This is pretty much exactly what I said to @bradshaw2ben in another thread.

Would Ben win more games than Trubisky, Pickett or Rudolph? Probably. Not guaranteed but probably.

Would Ben get us in the playoffs this year? With no Watt for half the season? I 100% believe there is NO CHANCE this is a playoff team without Watt for that many games.

The absolute worst thing that could have happened for this team would have been for Ben to return, the Steelers don't take a possible QB of the future and they finish around .500 this year. Picking in the middle of the draft once again, with no chance at a franchise QB and Ben riding off into the sunset.

So no, this team isn't winning shit this year. You're right, but we're going to find out what Kenny Pickett can do and if he's the answer going forward.

Either way, without Watt, we're GOING to draft in the top 10. Very possibly the top 5.....and if Pickett shows the kind of promise I expect he will, I'm good with that.

This is exactly where I’m at. I have a sliver of hope Canada AND Tomlin move on next season. (Yes I realize it wont happen)

Hearing Connors take on Kenny taking charge is fucking great reading. Thanks Lake for posting that!!!!

For the public record…let me know how to donate the $100 for misc board expenses! Looked for the button and sent a private PM to @bradshaw2ben

I was in a long ago scheduled golf tournament this morning and could not participate on the game thread today. Did not win the scramble, but did win a nice skin that had all skins rollover from last year’s tournament! So it was a lucrative skin in a 3 man scramble!

Bomb drive by me, second shot put it 10’ away by player 2, and the 3rd guy drained the putt for an eagle! I wanted to divide our skin proportionately by yards covered by each shot, but that was vetoed! :D

Then you will have to listen to a full year of only 1 losing season in his career.
