The 49ers are the epitome of the modern fragile football team

Yup, desperation.
I'm hoping we don't fall into that kind of trap this year.
You could package that to move up into the first round. Or you could find a few players and maybe a few starters.
I would trade him for the same packageThe #Steelers are asking for a Christian McCaffrey-like return for WR Chase Claypool, who has been connected to the #Packers in trade rumors.https://t.co/jFndk0VRXe

When you see the writing on the wall, you are in the toilet. -- Fred Sanford
While I agree that McCaffrey is fragile, he also likely makes the 49ers, along with the Eagles, the favorites in the NFC.
Don't be surprised if the Niners are in the Super Bowl this year.

How do those trade talks go?jebrick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 7:40 pmI would trade him for the same packageThe #Steelers are asking for a Christian McCaffrey-like return for WR Chase Claypool, who has been connected to the #Packers in trade rumors.https://t.co/jFndk0VRXe

Hell yeah but is there a GM dumb enough to give us that?jebrick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 7:40 pmI would trade him for the same packageThe #Steelers are asking for a Christian McCaffrey-like return for WR Chase Claypool, who has been connected to the #Packers in trade rumors.https://t.co/jFndk0VRXe

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
"We let him have a good game, I mean, he had a good game, and with Mitch Trubisky! Please, that means something right? Look at his body, look at his abs, he is probably in better shape than McCaffery, he is a greek adonis. Look at his arms, he is BEYOND perfect! He is justifiably in love with himself!!! Comparing him to McCaffery is like comparing ice cream to horse manure!!! He is literally from another galaxy!!!"

Will someone give up their entire draft for Chase. He might be the next Rickey Williams.

Saw somewhere that the Steelers were asking for a 2nd, two 3rds, and a 5th for him.
Let's see who's desperate enough to bid.

I’d settle for a 2nd and a 3rd.
Holy hell…I’d drive him to Wisconsin and drop him at the front door of Lambeau Field!jebrick wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 7:40 pmI would trade him for the same packageThe #Steelers are asking for a Christian McCaffrey-like return for WR Chase Claypool, who has been connected to the #Packers in trade rumors.https://t.co/jFndk0VRXe

Keep the corps intact and hope for a 2020 Claypool next year? Or take the trade?

Can one even evaluate talent properly and completely with this Canada offense?
Pretty sure the answer is no. And I think you have to wonder about evaluating the coaches under Canada too.
I think we have a good line coach now.
WR and RB coaches probably need to move on with life’s work.

Losing Austin for the season makes moving Claypool even less likely, imo. Team's need at least 4 legitimate down field receiving threats. Pat, DJ and Pickens all sound more appealing by keeping Chase in the mix.AirRescueFF wrote: ↑Sat Oct 29, 2022 9:53 amhttps://steelersdepot.com/2022/10/steel ... er-report/

Neither scenario is likely but MT has a history of trading a premium pick for a player mid season when the season looks lost. Hmm, the elbow year.Rod & Wire Mill wrote: ↑Sun Oct 30, 2022 2:21 amNot this year, this decade.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Fri Oct 21, 2022 2:19 pmYup, desperation.
