I was going to post this video before I checked and saw someone else had beat me to it.

Takeaways from the video:

JT O'Sullivan is a better OC than Candida will ever be. Steelers should be hiring him for the job post haste

Watching Dan Moore getting beat like a drum on just about every play by Crosby and whoever else the Raiders put there was painful to watch.

He really loves him some Pickens and don't blame him. I agree with him that Pickens should be more of a focal point in this offense.

Great breakdown on why Pickett was more successful as the game went on and also fair criticism of his play as well.

He really hates Candida and this "stale, archaic offense"
What’s funny is Pickett is being treated by opposing defenses as “a dude”.

But WE don’t treat him like a dude because Kenny is obviously being coached to look pre-snap and dismiss almost every read that looks like unfavorable coverage.

So even though Pickens came open pretty quickly on one or two plays where a safety was “doubling” him, Kenny didn’t even look at him.

Like Anontio Brown before him, our current “dude” is going to tire pretty quickly of always being the decoy.

The cool thing about arguing hypotheticals is that you can argue anything you want and ultimately can't prove shit.

Like, yeah if Big Ben would've been drafted by the Raiders, he wouldn't have won shit. Or if Tom Brady were drafted by the Bears, he'd flamed out and amounted to nothing. Or if Aaron Rodgers were drafted by the Steelers he would have won 4 Super Bowls.

It's a fun waste of time, but ultimately proves and means nothing. I think it's fair to say the 49ers have shown they've got a very successful offensive system. Whether that means Pickett would be blowing up if he were in San Fran, or if Purdy were in Pittsburgh that he'd be a disaster... who the fuck knows. Can't prove it, so why even bother?
I know that if you put Matt Canada and Mike Tomlin in Miami right now, Tua and company score a lot closer to 24 points last Sunday than 70.

There is no reason Pickett can’t get to Ryan tannehill level of play. And I mean tannehill with the titans not the dolphins. With a solid run game and great defense. That should be enough to to win games. He isn’t josh Allen or Tua but Steelers don’t need that with their d

I want to see Pickett get back to the accuracy he had last year. I don't think he'll ever look great in this offense though. There just aren't enough plays where there are wide open receivers like we see from ever other team including against us. He'll have to get his completions in tight windows. Even if he does improve there and cut down the INTs, this is still a 20 point at best offense. I've seen enough to believe Canada doesn't have the ability to scheme a high scoring game plan. The majority of the plays have the defense in perfect position to make the play because they know what's coming and/or where it going. Then if we are lucky enough to make the playoffs, we will get destroyed again because Canada on offense and Tomlin's D will get outcoached as usual.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

You're not wrong, but the first priority is to get to 3rd down.

I mean, what do people expect when the scheme and gameplan is designed for 14-play drives? We don't want to score quickly - get rid of those plays!

Fair. At the end of the day the game plan is under Tomlin's direction. My gripe is after three years and continually seeing other offenses scheme receivers open on a regular basis, our pass plays are like 90+ % contested catches. That's through multiple QBs including Ben. That has to be the person designing and calling the plays.
