The problem is...how do you sign him long term? This year has been a breakout year for him but before that he was good (not amazing). After he had a pick six against Hoyer and the Raiders last week, he celebrated by making the cash money sign (like a bank teller distributing bills or more accurately like a pimp at a strip club making it rain lol). He's about the money for sure.

𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: The #Bears WON’T be trading star cornerback Jaylon Johnson prior to the 4 pm trade deadline, per
@Schultz_Report
Not enough time to make something happen. He’s staying put. They can’t sign him to a contract extension still.
Bears are flushed with cap space.

Chase Young to 49ers
Wow
Front 4 of Chase Young, Arik Armstead, Hagrave and Bosa and LB's
Warner, Greenlaw and Burks.
Best front 7 in the NFL?
Hoping that is the difference in beating the Cowboys or Eagles in NFC championships game........

Not sure what happened?!
Seems like there were multiple rumors saying, Steelers were involved in trade talks with the Bears for Johnson?!?
This is another wasted season, a season where the Steelers have taken a step back. Such a shame….statistically, they field two of the worst units in football and they play like it.

Y’all are forgetting that statistically our defense isn’t that good. Near the bottom in every category.
So no, this isn’t the 2000 Ravens. But you are correct that our idiot HC probably is striving for that.
Steelers D currently 9th overall. No, not the 2000 Ravens (the 2023 Ravens have a better case than this year's Steelers) but Steelers D is good enough to win something. At least a regular season trophy.

I was trying to find the “overall” ranking. That makes more sense since we have won 4 games with no offense. But yeah the 2000 Ravens had that RB…I mean their running game was legit and our starting guy can’t get more than 3 yards.

Taking Jones was done with KP in mind. Sort of like when they drafted Troy Edwards to give Korky a WR even though Jevon Kearse and John Tait were still on the board.
Thanks for taking me back to the worst draft moment for the Steelers in recent memory.
My teenage self was distraught as well. Still, the Steelers got it right, because if they'd have taken The Freak (Kearse), we never would have enjoyed the ab-flexing, mid-field woofing, Colts are scared to lineup and run the ball on us, they shot me in Denver, Jeremy Stevens is soft, Bee-YAHHH, All-Pro player who was taken in the 3rd Rd of that draft.
