I just don't want them to play Chicago in round one.

Dear 76ers
Hope all of your plans work out and you land a bunch of lottery picks and you can finally win some games
Sincerely
The Atlanta Hawks

Are the Hawks real? Beat OKC solidly last night.

Will Kyle Korver start naming his dunks like Daryl Dawkins did?

8 wins in a row. Beat a great team without LeBron as Kyrie Irving scores a career high 55.

Sets the Cavs 3 pts made record with 11, and attempted with 19.

Cavs are waxing the Clippers right now.

Barring injury they are cruising into the finals.

You like them over the Hawks?

Who, btw, handily beat GS tonight.

Pelicans are turning into one of the better teams to watch. That game against OKC was unreal. Durant was the third best player in the game.

Yeah I just don't see the Hawks sustaining this throughout the playoffs, although I thought they actually played really hard last year and did gain some experience.

LeBron is just too good

Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, and even JR Smith can also score 40 on any given night.

Superk and Steelcody36 are right on the money as far as the Hawks are concerned. I think Charles Barkley really put his finder on it the other night. Offensively, when you cut through the bullshit, the Hawks are a very good jump shooting team but they live and die on the perimeter. Chuck couldn't think of an NBA champ with a similar makeup and neither can I. I think the Cavs will see them in the playoffs and beat them in a tight series. Mosgov will be the difference.

Same thing would apply to Golden State then...and favor Memphis or Portland or Dallas

The Thunder are much deeper after that trade....

They are KILLING people right now with Durant still not healthy

And speaking of health, unless a traumatic injury occurred to Chris Bosh as cause for DVT, he has played his last game in the NBA.

Bosh will play again.

Blood thinners and some of the best doctors in the country will get him back at some point next season.

Rose is likely done for the year, the Bulls are done.

It's a shame because Rose was very good.

Rose is finished at least as the player he once was

Will end up like Ron Harper, who people forget was a Jordan clone early in his career before the injuries hit

Kendrick Perkins is terrible. Momentum killer. Bad pick up for the Cavs

Not bad at all.

He will play 10 minutes or less a game, and be an enforcer. He will drill guys in the paint and not have to worry about fouls.

Beating GS last night was impressive. All that mattered really was getting their shit together by April.

Rose is expected back in 4-6 weeks.

The Bulls dodged a bullet, but that doesn't mean Rose will return to form this season. The Bulls will be a tough match up for somebody come playoff time. They will probably fall to the 5 or 6 seed. Hopefully my Cavs don't end up playing them in the first round.

If you are going to waste jet fuel lugging that piece of shit Perkins around, really need to insert him today to injure Beverly and make Hardin think twice about penetration....

Since he "enforces" and all. Whatever that means......

Beverly is a fucking punk.

Bottom line is, LeBron was horrid from the foul line or the Cavs win despite Irving being out.

I'm still not sure why Love is ignored in the 2nd half of games. Makes no sense at all.

The great thing about Kendrick Perkins is if the team plane is ever in trouble, they can ditch 350 lbs of ballast with no loss to the team.

Bullshitass Miami Heat fans are the Seahawk fans of the NBA.....

Playing the Lakers at home and from row 3 back is 75% empty seats. I've seen more fans at a D1 women's game. It's so bad the camera crew is trying to change the view a little downward so the TV viewer isn't staring at all those empty seats......

But who has more good things happening in their life..Miami Heat fan or Chicago Cub fan?

I am the king of fickle fandom...

Lots of competition in Miami for entertainment dollar...plus South Beach

Nothing fickle about rooting for Blue Steel Westbrook:

I don't know if it's the camera, but note the trunk to legs ratio....

BTW, unbelievably, ATL has clinched a playoff spot already....and NOLA is virtually tied with OKC for seed 8

My take on the NBA fan base is different.....

Football or baseball can be a time suck vortex, and I concur that the geography of the home team can affect turnout. I don't go to Clemson football day games anymore cause I'd rather golf and hang out on the lake. Same would hold true for L.A. NFL team, etc.

NBA is different. It can be incorporated into your evening plans. Dinner, game, out after with friends. Take family to game, back home by 10:30 so reasonable even for a school night. Lots of variations but NBA games don't dominate your day and certainly not in the evenings.

And as far as Miami goes, beach during the day, out late at the cheesiest night clubs on earth. Really not much else to do at night. Taking in a Heat game kills a few hours in between.....

As long as the Cavs get the 2 seed, (they will barring injuries) I don't think they would see Atlanta until the finals. Not too worried about them at this point. The Cavs overcame an 18 point deficit last night. They are fully capable of beating Atlanta in a series, but it will be a tough one.

I was very impressed by ATLs team defense. I think they are a bit more substantial than a jump shooting team. That Teague layup block was sick.

I agree it will come down to those two teams in the East. Chicago is done and I don't believe in Toronto.
