i would appeal to Swiss on this -- but here's my proposition

This coaching staff needs to be replaced, because we will never win another Super Bowl with Tomlin and Co

But this staff will never be fired if they keep up the 8-8 seasons (at least, this is what the rooney defenders say -- we're in a "down cycle" right now, and every successful coach goes thru mediocre seasons)

I don't believe the Rooney defenders -- i believe we have good enough talent on this team to win the AFC North right now, but that coaching is keeping us from winning.

If that's the case, we need to see the Steelers lose more games so that Rooney is compelled to act and to act decisively, the way Mario did with the Pens this year.

Mario fired the GM and the HC, and those guys brought us to 2 Stanley Cups, and won ONE! Most NHL clubs would love that -- but Mario thought they were underperforming with the talent the pens have, so they were fired

Same thing needs to happen with the Steelers

So, what is SBI in this case?

I'm rooting for Steelers to win going forward. As 43 so aptly put it a few weeks ago, there''s no apparent limit to Art II's stupidity. Tomlin could go 3-13 this year and I'm not assuming he's shitcanned.

I think "Steelers Best Interest" can only be defined according to TIME FRAME.

Yes, on a 1 week timeframe, it is in our best interest to root for a WIN

But in the LONG RUN, in the sense of WINNING SUPER BOWLS, I think it is SBI to root for LOSSES this year, as another poster suggested.

We need to LOSE EVERY FUCKING GAME, and then I think AR2 would take drastic action

He would -- i believe that.

There's no way he shit cans Ben -- his Dad has drilled into his head that franchise QB's don't grow on fucking trees --- but a new coaching staff can dramatically change the fortunes for a team.

I think this team is well on its way to losing A LOT of games this year. Especially since we just got thru the EASIEST PART of the schedule at a shitty 3-3. We could easily finish 6-10 or worse this year, and I think that result would give AR2 the impetus to shit can Tomlin.

When is his contract over? That is one factor.

My BIG HUGE FUCKING FEAR is that AR2 will hire his golf buddy, Todd Haley, to be the next HC. Which means we will not win another super bowl during Ben's career, very sadly.
