The Steelers offense averages 263.5 yards per game.
The Steelers defense allows 382.5 yards per game.
The Steelers are 3-1. No doubt yards don’t matter as much as points and Steelers are winning Turnovers and games. But negative 120 yard deficit teams just don’t usually win games. That’s some Wizard stuff right there.
Tomlin = Wizard

No man it’s not sustainable and it’s mediocre football. But it’s incredible how the Steelers eke out victories until the annual first round playoff loss.

Queen made a bunch of good plays in the backfield today, as well as good plays elsewhere.
Finished with a sack, 3 tackles for a loss, and 8 overall solos.
Very strong game for him.
And he continued his string of most consecutive games allowing a receiving TD in coverage.

That was the worst coach WIN I have ever seen.
His end of game math is a fireable offense and I've seen rec league coaches fired for less.
Has to be told by Rodgers to go for it.
Sabotages the go for it decision with a play call with a low percentage chance for success.
Burns a timeout for no reason on the inside kick attempt.
Doesn't have a play call for fourth and short ready to go.
I do believe he is a game day fuckup, but I believe his fuckups are driven by his bias toward the defense.
He WANTS his defense, not his offense, on the field at the ends of games.
So he never factors the idea that his offense can win games into his thinking.
The sports IQ of this franchise on the offensive side of the football is one of the lowest in the history of American football (sans Aaron Rodgers)

1. Kenneth Gainwell. Showed the best visions we’ve seen as a Steelers RB since Leveon Bell and carried the offense
2. Payton Wilson. Didn’t just rebound from a shitty start to the season, but led the team in tackles and possibly saved the win with that last game tackle inside the 5
3. Nick Herbig. Steelers most effective pass rusher got in on a couple of sacks and a ton of pressures
4. DK Metcalf. Carried the offense early in the game.
Finally had a signature performance
5. Keanu Benton. Another rebound from shitty season guy. In on a couple sacks and pressures.
6 DeShon Elliot. Had a couple pass breakups and qb hits

If you are referring to the tush push, I'm not sure I want Rodgers in that situation. Maybe insert Mason but that would be a dead giveaway.
C'mon dude, run it with Gainwell or Kaleb Johnson with Outlier behind them or fucking Derrick Harmon or really any strong motherfucker.
It was third and 1 yard.
Run the Tush Push twice and it's game over.
Probably only needed to run it once.
What's funny is...they DID run a tush push with Outlier carrying the ball iirc, earlier in the game.
But he was too scared to run it again?
Like I said, Tomlin WANTS the defense to close out games.
He only lets the offense close them out when he doesn't have a choice.
Heyward took the snap when they ran the tush push, outlier was a push man.

Our QB was pretty efficient today. Deserves mention.
Aaron Rodgers went 18 of 22 for 200yds and the long TD to Metcalf.
That type of precision had to be the exact style of performance the Steelers were hoping for when they signed him.

Watt didn’t have a sack. He also looks terrible, having now added a bizarre jump pass fake move to his arsenal once stuffed at the line.
Wasn’t so visible but a Brandon Echols did an outstanding job of coverage on the 3rd receiver. He completely erased one of the best WR3 guys in Nailor, who had been leading the NFLin beating man coverage.
Shoutout to the Steelers coordinators, who put together the Steelers best opponent-gameplanned game of Mike Tomlin’s career.
I've barely watched this year due to work, but just looking at the boxscore, Watt did register a sack today. And the interception was not some easy play.
Not directing this at you B2B, but some people seem almost gitty to write Watt off. Not just the schmuck that is STD.

If he got credited with a sack it was catching the scrambling QB for no gain. I thought that play gained a yard.
But if you watch his reps and not the play outcome or box scores—there’s definitely something up with Watt. He’s dancing/one-leg hopping… not ferociously attacking as he has been. Could they be saving him for later in the game/later in the season/postseason? I guess not impossible considering the way he’s faded at the end of the year.

I think it’s possible Watt has lost a step but I still see him going 100% on every play and as I mentioned before, Watt put the fear of God in Wentz coming up the middle and likely would have had another sack if Herbig (who is playing like his hair is on fire) didn’t crush Wentz a second before Watt got to him.
TJ might not get 20 sacks this year (or ever again) but if he can stay healthy, I think you can mark him down for 12 pretty comfortably.

payton wilson
that play to run down addison took about 40 seconds from the Vikings which - the way things went in the end those 40 seconds may well have changed the outcome

Look, if you can, re-watch the game and just watch TJ Watt.

Honestly on that play, Watt dipped inside and had absolutely no chance whatsoever to catch the dude that went wide.
Did he make an effort to? No, but I would think he's conserving energy because there was no way he was going to be able to get to the sideline from the middle of the field to make any difference on that particular play.
Watt can still run pretty well but he ain't running down a back or a WR to the edge from the middle of the field.

It would absolutely have affected the play if the QB saw him coming from the inside.
