that may have been true historically, but I think things are finally turning the corner in Pittsburgh

It's not going to happen overnight, though
The mess of an OL that Todd Haley inherited was worse than he could have anticipated, but with slow and methodical attention, they're coming around.
And now with MM's help, all that painstaking effort is finally paying off.

What's more, now that Bryant's off the leash, this team is poised to tear this shit up!

I believe this too. With the addition of MM, that spells out in bold neon lights they're focusing on the o-line. Better late than never. Not one single better person for the position and happy as hell we got him. I'm stoked with the potential. Imagine if the display on Sunday is a sign to come of our o-line gelling to the point that we've all begged for. Ben with time = lights fuckin out! I'm praying it sticks!

With M. Bryant I believe he was banged up with an AC sprain. The leash got lifted and glad as hell he's getting reps but I wonder how much of the AC sprain delayed it? I'm unaware of how much practice he missed.

Sweet Play Of The Week: With the Steelers leading Indianapolis 28-10, Pittsburgh had first-and-10 on the Colts 47. Colts defensive end Arthur Jones got free on a spin move and lunged at Ben Roethlisberger's feet. Roethlisberger stumbled, and Jones seemed likely to pull the Pittsburgh quarterback down. Then undrafted Steelers guard Ramon Foster jumped atop Jones and immobilized him. Freed, Roethlisberger threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Brown. A pancake block occurs when a defender is knocked flat. A "syrup" block occurs when a lineman jumps onto a flattened defender -- syrup on pancake! Foster's syrup block was sweet and helped set in motion Pittsburgh's 51-34 victory over one of the league's elite clubs
.

So, why wasn't it a fifteen yard personal penalty for hitting a QB below the knees?

Because he never actually hit him. Jones fell just in front of Roethlisberger, reached out his arm, to which Ben shook his foot free and proceeded to take a dump all over the Colts D.

So grazing the helmet of a reciever is hands to the face, but grabbing QBs leg isn't a penalty?
