You know what? I kinda like our coach and I kinda like our QB and I kinda like where things are headed. There's plenty of improvements to be made and a debacle like last week makes everyone see red-- but I don't see how we jump to the hc is useless and or stupid or that the QB suddenly can't play... I feel like the team is on the rise compared to any time since Tebow. You're free to feel differently-- but I'd say history is on my side. We shall see about the future.
And here is the 2nd biggest Tomlin apologist!
I thought the same thing too about this team. Then the Jets happened. Just like the Bucs happened. Won't be surprised if the Tits win on Monday night.
One could make an argument that the Steelers have lost to teams like Oakland and Tennessee over the past couple of years because they weren't that good, and they have lost to teams like them this year because they are a young team that is still learning to play when there's adversity.
One thing that was noted in the the podcast by lifelong is that while the "lows" (losses to the Jets) are still there, the "highs" (wins over the Colts, Ravens, and Texans) are higher than they've ever been since the loss to Tebow, and that the Steelers ARE on the rise.
But we are so impatient because the window on Ben's career is closing that we can't wait for these young but talented players to get over their inconsistency.
And I say this as someone who is not afraid to criticize Mike Tomlin...because it isn't an "either or" "black and white" thing...and why some people on these boards continue to try and make them so is beyond me.
