Scary dumb post.
Great contribution as always.
The only thing I know is going to happen is no matter who they pick, someone here is going to make a post ranting against it.
Depending on which poster does the rant, it has the potential to be epic.

For history sake, here is Hitler's reaction to the Shazier pick

One of these days i'll figure out how to embed a youtube video. that said, it's worth clicking on the URL if for nothing else than to see the comments.

Kevin Johnson or Eli Harold will break the board.

Pretty sure those 2 are on the Clemson "Do not draft" list. I'd like him to be happy this year.

Peters bet your first born on it
I'm looking forward to R3 when we draft Tyrion Lannister as a long-snapper.

Per the second podcast, this O'Shaughnessey TE has me intrigued. We need a baller at TE, enough of this bullshit.

Face palm.
La'el Collins' agent asked the NFL to pull out of this draft and be put into the supplemental draft...which was rejected.

I would be happy with ANY of those 3.
Shane Ray was a little of a surprise.

Anything can happen but I doubt that will ever happen.
I'm not up on why they picked Shazier over Moseley? Did Mosely have the dreaded "poor character" ? I mean he was ranked ahead of Shazier on all boards, by all accounts, that's why I think they outsmart themselves sometimes. I hope Shazier is better eventually, I hope Pierogi is right, but Moseley totally crushed him in durability and performance last year, if he can stay consistant, they've replaced Ray Lewis pretty well, and maybe we screwed up.
100% All day Nick. I was just thinking the same about last year when they took Shazier. Hoping it works out in time.

This is the worst hour of sports TV all year....how about a 5 minute time limit. And get rid of the 3 goons doing it.

As of right now, our front 7 consists of 4 1st round LB'ers. Tuitt who would've gone in the 1st, if injury wasn't a concern at draft time..McClendon & 1st rounder Heyward.
Anyone thinking we're not trying to win the trench war on D can reference that...Tomlin had a stud 7 in MN, But got lit up on the backend, despite being a DB coach in TB, only a year prior. I think he knows where the bread gets buttered on D.
Hoping we go HEAVY on secondary from here on out. Waste picks if you have to, just throw shit at the wall & hope it sticks. O is locked up, & no T'E is going to help, & you can't justify another front 7 or FS Pick. Plus you can never have to many corners.

Yeah and unless the majority of those guys show up to play, we will still suck on that side of the ball.

can I introduce you to Cam Thomas and the 40 year old best player on our D and Jarvis Jones? A rotational DL is a must, another Day 3 edge guy who can play the left side and special teams is possible.
I think a FS, a more polished CB, and an upside CB is a good goal for 3 of the remaining 7 picks. TE, RB, WR, OL for 2 or 3 picks, depending on if the double dip at edge. You can never stop feeding the machine on O... you'll just get worse. I advocate a TE/WR hybrid... guy who can do both things. Darren Waller, Neal Sterling, Rory Anderson (if medical checks), or Kyle Prater.

I went over the top a bit with the hyperbole, but I think you got what I was saying. Corner heavy.

two corners but I don't know that it necessarily means reaching for a guy in rd 2. Good players fall to good GMs.
If we had 10 picks like Seattle, I would move up to target specific guys. We don't.

I think they have to roll with who they've drafted & payed recently, to see what they are working with. They don't even know what they have. I think they have to give Shamarko & MM a chance, why draft replacement players when the answer might be on the roster, unless you're sure it's a for sure upgrade? TE, CB, OG, OT are the only positions I consider drafting before RD 5. The biggest need is obvious & the chances of getting a starter after rd 4 are slim.
While I dont claim to know player round projections, I believe value is relative to the team selecting the player & positional need.
That'd be may strategy, anyway.
