Yeah, people fell for the schtick. The smooth talk, clever cliches, and aviators. Saw how he won with team Cowher, and subsequently drank the Kool Aid. My only hope is that Rooney will return from his sabbatical atop Mt. St. Righteous and realize that just because you critique Tomlin and his every present clock management ineptitude, challenge challenges, and personnel gaffs (Jervis, Shamrocko, and Dud Goofree, to name a few), it doesn’t make you a racist. It’s makes you a realist.
