A lot of people seem to have put a ceiling on AV already. Why?
The kid is very raw and facing a caliber of opponent he has little experience with.
Beachum was only serviceable at first too and still isn't all that.
I think AV has a lot of room to grow still and another season + with MM could do wonders.
We know he will put the work in and we also know Munchak is a very capable coach.
2 years from now this kid might be a damn solid LT.
1st round has to be defense IMO.
Why haven't we moved Gilbert to LT and Villy to the right?

I agree. He has is a flat out freak athletically. He has the tools to get a lot better.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
I did not like Gilbert. Over his past 20 starts he's played pretty well
Over his last 10 starts his play has been very good.
Munchak found something that was missing in Gilbert's game.
I do not flip the tackles.
Davis Decastro is the car wreck in the passing game...He is solid in the run game
