We get our sacks from blitzing. As u know when you blitz you leave the backfield depleted. So sometimes we get there, but when we dont, trouble. The front and most importantly the outside backers need to get there on their lonesome. That will significantly improve our pass defense

The top 5 in sacks stat is a real illusion. Looks good on paper, but if you have watched this team enough this year, you know they aren't getting the kind of 3rd down pressure they need unless it is a blitz that works. The OLBs continue to disappoint.

Deebo does well against mediocre LTs, but he still struggles with elite ones at his age. Moats is just another guy. Jones rarely flashes and his "heavy hands" have done very little this year. I had my doubts about Dupree and they seem to be coming true. He's not exploding to the QB the way he should and his technique and use of hands still sucks.

I think Gay, Cockrell, and Mitchell are solid players. Allen and Blake obviously are very limited in coverage. Three factors are killing us on pass defense:

1. Lack of pressure rushing 4.
2. ILBs terrible in coverage vs TEs
3. Blake sucking

Not sure how to fix 1 because the talent at OLB is what it is. Number 3 is an easy fix. Number 2 we need to hit the TEs harder at the line of scrimmage.
