End of story.
....but I'm not giving up on Blake by any means and I think he'll improve.
If we had any kind of a pass rush, Blake would probably have 7 picks and would have a very different reputation around here.
At least he isn't a complete pussy, ala Cortez Allen. Blake will fight.
Like he fought off Terrelle Pryor when he had position on him on that 42 yard pass that led to the Browns' FG right before halftime?
Blake had position...then just watched with his thumb up his ass as Pryor cut right around and in front of him to grab the pass.
Nice fight there, Antwan!
Yeah, he fights. Pryor made one helluva play on that ball and Blake looked to have misjudged it.
He also made a fantastic play on the goal line, breaking on the ball perfectly to knock the shit out of the receiver and separated him from the ball.
Had an excellent tackle for loss too.
Blake isn't perfect and he's been shitty for sure at times this season, but I'll take him over a pussy like Cortez Allen any day of the week.

Cortez Allen isn't an option right now so that's a red herring, KC.
The pattern has held for weeks now. Blake starts...pass defense looks like shit.
Blake gets pulled, pass defense stabilizes.
The rest of the DBs aren't world beaters, but Blake is the weakest link.
Both the stats and the eyeball test confirm this.

Cockrell is CLEARLY the better player...any fan who watches Steeler games sees Cockrell NEAR the ball....and he makes plays from time to time.
Blake is NEVER near the ball
Remember Ricardo Colclough?
Thanks for putting me off my lunch.

Ah Yes, Ricardo Colclough (pronounced kohk-lee).
He was the 38th pick in the draft, have we taken a corner higher than that since?

Yeah, because after Cortez Allen shit the bed last year, Blake and Brice McCain saved the season.
...and that's no stretch.
Probably why they keep running him out there.

Then that's stupid because it's about what he's doing (or, rather, not doing) THIS year.
Even last year, McCain was better (so of course, he was the one who they just let waltz right out of here to Miami).

By all accounts, Blake is a loudmouth and Cockrell is extremely quiet and reserved. For the love of God I hope that has no bearing on who's on the field.

I would say that's ridiculous, but...

Cincy muff made want to puke.
Are you saying he was a Cowher guy?

Blake was drafted where Colclough should've been.
"I got nothing." - KC
Still never forget how Cowher said he wouldn't use Colclough to return punts in situations where the Steelers would be in the shadow of their own end zone...but then on this punt, with the Steelers leading 17-14 with a chance to salt the game with their suddenly hot offense in that game, he kept him back there anyway.

That was vs Cincy I believe
All coaches promise changes. Hell I remember the Clev Thurs night game where it was cold as fuck. Tomlin says about the DB"s: there will be changes to the starting lineup
No changes...

Interesting.....
http://www.steelersdepot.com/2016/01/st ... -playoffs/
*Blake & Cockrell splitting snaps in base, but primarily Blake first half, Cockrell 2nd half
*Boykin blitzed on 15 of his 61 snaps v. Browns.

I loved that line on the end how "Boykin was also on the field for two of the three explosive plays the Steelers allowed, including the 42-yarder to Terrelle Pryor".
WTF? Nice attempt at guilt by association, Steelers Depot.
