The fan base has to manage its addiction to Steeler championship football, I readily admit to being so afflicted. This kid has a serious problem. Most here work or worked for a living, this kid just lost millions, the ability to set himself, kids & fam up for maybe generations. We have to now manage our addiction as if he never existed and move from there. Get past the "what could have been." MB is useless to us now and if he can't manage his addiction he'll be useless to himself. I think we'll attempt to acquire a replacement threat in the draft, maybe a TE and we'll roll from there.

Yeah let's just ignore the law and every other rule so you can enjoy some thug football on Sunday's. So you think the only rule he will ever have problem following is the one that says he can't smoke marijuana ? You are incredibly naive and stupid. If Bryant ever plays another down for this team it will be a miracle, and rightfully so. He had multiple chances and still screwed up. That's not someone you can depend on for anything

No those Democrats lean too far to the right for me. FEEL THE BERN.

And no, not everyone needs to share my opinion, but I'm still going to give it. Just like everyone else does. EVERY TIME something like this happens the SAME PEOPLE who believe the opposite of what I believe, also come on here and drone on and on about their opinion as well.

LOL, you're a fucking retard! Of course "we can't depend on him now", it's not because he isn't capable, it' s because the NFL is beating him down. he could play the 2016 season, smoking weed 5 days a week, and he'd catch 80 balls, 1500 yards and 10 TDs. We could depend on him and he'd deliver if the NFL wasn't beating him down, and YES, FUCK YOU RETARD, I'm RIGHT, this NFL bullshit, is SPECIFIC to the NFL, the other sports aren't doing stuff like this.

They say it once or twice and move on from the subject. You berate the point over and over and over again, making it a point to respond to every single person in the thread who doesn't agree with you. No one else does that.

I enjoy using politically incorrect words. I do it on purpose. That's OK, I get a lot of personal attacks against me all the time, just for voicing valid opinions, toughen up, take it, embrace it like I do.

What? how does using unPC words make you a troll, are you saying you can't use those words and if you do it's trolling? What if you just feel you have the right to not follow PC language sensoring?

I've made my point, so I'm done here, I agree Bryant has fucked up his own life, and at the same time, I also believe the NFL didn't have to fuck up his life and that other sports aren't fucking up the lives of similar players over the same issues.

"I enjoy using politically incorrect words. I do it on purpose."

You do it on purpose to illicit a reaction. That is trolling. I know you're not smart enough to comprehend that. I know you're going to throw some ass backwards definition out there that only you believe. But that fact is, you're saying you're a troll. The most low-level life form on the internet.

Congrats.

What data are you talking about? The list of other league rules?

Your "data" has nothing to do with the actual point being argued.

Most agree that the NFL rule is messed up. If you had an ounce of intelligence, you'd see that.

What people are arguing is that Bryant still needs to adhere by those rules, whether they're agreeable or not. Your "data" does absolutely nothing to argue that point one way or another. So get the hell out of here with your "data".

I think most if not all of us think the NFL should not be testing for weed. I think we can all agree, though, that no matter how stupid they may be, your employer has rules and if you want to stay employed you follow the rules. If your employer insists that you wear fuzzy bunny slippers to work, then you wear fuzzy bunny slippers to work.

People seem to agree on both points, so I'm not sure where the argument is.

I would further state that if your workforce is always high, regardless of when, it's possible that your product will be reduced in quality. Get high before a game? Sure!!!! Get high before speaking to the press? No problem!!!! Get high while doing community service and child services? Why the fuck not? We don't care that 10 year olds are being coached by a guy who doesn't know where the goal line is and reeks of pot, hacking away. Culturally condition kids to think smoking pot while making $10 mil a year is standard practice. See where this is going?

I'm not suggesting they ban weed entirely like they are now, but there has to be some control. The NFL thinks that a ban just avoids any kind of oversight. No pot, period. End of story.

Don't know what the solution is, but the above listed problems need to be addressed. As a business, there needs to be a line somewhere.

Right. And hence my issue with Nick. He's creating arguments out of nothing but his sheer desire for attention and self-admitted trolling.

If my employer asked me to wear fuzzy slippers to work, I'd level a lawsuit.

EDIT : Or maybe get matching bunny ears, if appropriate.

You obviously didn't look at it closely. It clearly, CLEARLY shows that the NFL vs. NBA and vs. MLB, has more suspensions for drug use in the last 2-3-4 years than the other sports do in their entire history. That was the point I wanted to make, and those links, if you look at them closely ABSOLUTELY DO MAKE THAT POINT. Probably within the LAST YEAR ALONE, the NFL has suspended more players than the NBA has in their entire history. Go look and actually read it.

Again, this is bullshit, everybody agrees with the main points, I do too. I guess it's lack of intellectual curiosity on your part, and that old "shut up and do what the boss says" attitude, that keeps you from being interested in comparing how the NFL stacks up vs. other sports on this.

And who was disputing that the NFL has the harshest stance on drugs?

No one. Because no one was arguing they weren't. Which is why you're "stats" are completely useless, here.

Seriously, find me one post in this thread saying that the NFL is less strict than the NBA, MLB or any other league.

Moron.
