I guess the Bucs were sparked by the Taillon promotion.

People don't like to talk about math unless it works for us, but I will -- the Cubs would have to lose for a week and a half whilst the Pirates would have to win for a week and a half just to break even. Please wake up and smell El Coffee.

The Cubs are now the Pirates friends when they play other teams vying for the roulette game. Be happy when they help the Pirates get to the roulette game. Just hope the Pirates have a roulette spot wrapped up with a few games to go whilst the other roulette spot is up for grabs so that the other teams must use their Ace just to get into the roulette game.

Ah fuck, Bling. You're gonna start this shit the first week of June this year!? ;)

There's no doubt the Cubs are on a different level than the Pirates or any other team in baseball right now. But it's June fucking 6th. Can we wait until early August at least before we concede the division?

I'm gonna go out on a major limb here and say with over 100 games left in the season anything can happen.

I recall very early last year the division was given up on and it ended up coming down to the wire.

true...better then frankie..hell nibbles been ok too..hes better then frankie..I think frankie needs a skip in rotation to rest or something..niasco was solid last night..
I hope some solid pitching by the youngsters provides a boost..like the pens got from youth infusion..i haven't given up on catching cubs..they can have losing streaks and Injuries..they winning with pitching now which can change in a hurry.

Ranking our five starters right now, I've got:

1. Cole
2. Niese
3. Locke
4. Nicasio
5. Liriano

Very disappointed in Frankie this season. Nicasio is serviceable as #4 or 5. As for Nibbles, like Pro said, it's the first half of the season. I am starting to buy into Niese. Cole is the ace of course.

Looking forward to seeing what we have in Taillon tonight.

I liked the numerical synchronicity in our two currently active sports teams the past two days.

Pens win 3-1, go up 3-1.

Pirates win both ends of a doubleheader 3-1.

Hopefully the Pirates can win 4-1 tonight and tomorrow... 8-)

The scary part with Liriano is we've seen him go through entire seasons like this before.

That hasn't happened with the Pirates yet- he'd have streaks where Wild Frankie would come out, but he'd put a quick stop to them.

I'm going to say it again- we miss Jim Benedict. I think Searage got a lot of credit for things Benedict did.

I think it's also showing up in our bullpen as well, which is pretty much a dumpster fire except for Mark Melancon.

I know correlation is not causation, but...
