Our old buddy Joe Blanton just made it real hard for rhe Dodgers in Game 1. Gave up back-to-back HR's in the 8th, the first a grand slam.

Wow, that's depressing. Like Lincoln though, Kershaw would have been gone by none-

Yep, probably would have been traded for three prospects because they weren't winning with Kershaw.
I got another one for you. In 2007, the Giants selected Madison Bumgarner with the 10th overall pick. The Bucs picked 4th again that year and chose Daniel Moskos. That was David Littlefield's last MLB draft and thank God it was.
Huntington has done a little better but he had the whole Pedro fiasco in 2008 when Eric Hosmer and Buster Posey were available. Next year he chose Tony Sanchez over Mike Trout. Mark Appel over Corey Seager or Michael Wacha in 2012.
I know, hindsight and all that.

How repulsive a team must be to get yinzers to root for the mistake. Kind of reminds me of the Balt-SF Superbowl.

Who's our Kluber? Seriously....

Is it unfair comparing the Pirates to the currently hottest team in baseball? Dunno, but it's so refreshing to watch Cleve, a team that's always hustling, playing smart, continuing to bring in (as the Cubs did also) even more reinforcement players behind their great starters as the season went on . . . these teams and their owners get it.

Also, who the fuck wants to hear some Cleveland turd claiming "City of Champions"? I like it when they're down and out.
