Yeah I get it, the problem is whose hat? The best thing the Pens can do is continue to whoop their ass on the scoreboard.
Oh and Flower is in their heads. I saw some BJ's post game player interviews. Werenski especially you could tell was starting to wonder whether Flower was beatable. If you'd have told me that before the playoffs started I'd have eaten every hat I own.
Agreed.
I don't think Sullivan wants to change the dynamic(s) he and the Pens are enjoying right now. I agree with Brasco that a suspension would force Torts into change-and I for one don't want to see that.
Dressing Sestito sends a message to Columbus that the Pens will muck it up with them. It also sends a message to the Pens that the coaches may not think the current players can take care of themselves. I think that Sullivan believes his current roster(game 1&2) can get it done and take care of themselves.
And I wouldn't mess with the current dynamic the Pens are enjoying right now. Maybe, if the Pens win game 3 I might dress Sestito but who to sit is a tough decision.
Speaking of Torts, it has to be killing him that Sullivan isn't trying to get Crosby away from Dubinsky. Sullivan in essence is telling fuckface that Crosby and the top line can put up with all the crap the Jackets employ and there is little they can do about it.
As much as I think Calvert needs to suspended I would rather the refs call the game fairly. It is one thing to let them play but don't call ticky tack penalties late in the second or third periods when they turned away from the same stuff earlier.
The refs in this series have been awful.
