Re: Harrison Signed with Patriots
It's business. All it is folks. Harrison just got paid again. Tip my hat to him. Won't be thinking as good a thoughts when the rematch unfolds later.

He's a legend in that locker room and revered by everyone from everything i've heard. He must have more value than Dan in that regard, at least. Then add in the above and I just don't get it.
Cut him after the season, no biggie. But to do it with 2 games left and a playoff run looming, baffling.
Soon we're going to start hearing leaks from the locker room about this.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall for the first Belichick - Harrison convo.
"So James, what are the steelers tendencies on defense? Know anything about the offense? They almost beat us a couple of weeks ago. You think we're going to pay you big bucks to rush the passer or drop into coverage for 12-16 snaps? I mean, it's not like the steelers don't know what your strengths and weaknesses are, right? You want another ring, right? To show up the coach that didn't listen to you, right? I'm listening to you, James. Talk to me. We have a bonus program. Did you know that?"

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

FortyThree is starting to remind me of Baghdad Bob when it comes to the Harrison situation.
He’s top imbecile around here, that’s for sure.

Neither of these things happened.
But if you're gonna wish death upon someone because he cut your favorite football player I guess it doesn't matter if you make shit up too.

I don’t blame him at all. Smart move on his part, really. He was released by a team with a chance to win a Super Bowl, and joined a team with a chance to win the Super Bowl. Why the fuck not?

Might need to call into Stan Savran's show this week. Was in December 2011, after Harrison was suspended for his game for his hit on Colt McCoy that Savran nominated James for Jagoff of the Week . I called in, told Stan I had a nomination, and then nominated Stan Savran for Jagoff of the week, due totally to his having nominated James. Ol' Stan didn't take too kindly to that.
James Harrison was possibly my favorite Steeler of all time. That said though, I think James was legit insane, unlike Joey Porter who I always considered to be faux insane. James had such an ominous presence, whenever I heard him talk, I was always surprised that he spoke. But consider....
*This is the guy that spent all his time working out or watching cartoons.
*The guy that passed up Obama's White House invite, cuz the only reason, in James' estimation that he was being invited was cuz he won the Super Bowl. Yeah, no shit, James.
Dude came by his insanity honestly though. Consider that his mom, at the age of 62, was arrested at the Akron VFW during at Steelers-Browns game, charged with some type of assault. Same Mom that Stan Savran, during one of my calls, told a story about her flipping the fuck out at the treatment he was receiving from the NFL studio douchebags at halftime of the game where he had knocked two Browns the fuck out within about 10 minutes of each other.
Sorry to see James go...but I could certainly believe that he had become too much a pain in the ass for Mike Tomlin to take. That's what I think happened.

Dale Lolley just said on the radio that he just talked to Harrison’s agent.
Steelers showed interest in bringing Harrison back but he didn’t want to come back.
Also said that he had interest from other teams but wanted to win a Supet Bowl with NE.

I don't care what the Steelers' record is this year. If this backfires- i.e., if Harrison is a decisive factor in the Steelers losing the AFCC game to the Patriots- then whoever made the call to cut Harrison should be fired.

What if Harrison's a spy for the squealers? They might go to great lengths to get into our game plan

Tomlin & Co. aren't clever enough to do something like that. They gonna do what they do, baby. And what they do is get owned regularly by the Patriots.

Why would the Steelers show interest?
FortyThree told me Harrison was "done".

Not quite understanding this. I know there was a reason for cutting him on Saturday, potentially bringing him back on Tuesday....but please explain.

I don't think Harrison likes the phony (Tomlin) and didn't exactly appreciate being cut.

I think you're exactly right. I think Harrison feels like he has been disrespected this season, and being cut was the final insult. He wants to make Tomlin & co. pay. I don't blame him.
