Mason now, before the season is over.
Never understood why Mitch was the back up.

Can Mason be any worse?

Yeah....maybe Mason might be coming in next series.
I'll bet the potted plant stays with Mitch the bitch.

Let’s face it guys - we are the worst team in the entire NFL. Stop hanging onto hopes of playoffs much less a playoff win. Rah rah over bullshit wins early in the season all you want…but this team is straight trash.

No.

Mason's a better QB than Mitch.

Where are all the guys who posted in game threads incessantly about how they couldn’t WAIT for Ben to retire? Are we happy yet?
Oh the irony.
Yeah, Kenny’s 3 points a half are missed.
Kenny may suck, but he's not actively trying to throw to the other team the whole time.

Yes, the irony of not missing Kenny Pickett during a season where literally nothing was on the lijne.

Pickett's growth was the only thing that truly mattered this year, and we saw precious little. They weren't winning anything unless he made a big leap. The dude regressed.

People wanted to keep Roethlisberger out of loyalty, nostalgia, and the fact that he was still better than what was likely coming after him. Why would anyone be excited to watch a 25 year old first round QB who plays like Duck Hodges?

You spent the entire final season of Ben's career shitting on the team's chances, but have tried to pretend all season that this was some exciting shit we were seeing.

Ben was a shell of himself at the end, but I'm pretty sure a 60 year old Big Ben could go out there and play better than anyone we've got on the roster.

Imagine if Brady were playing.

I watch this and I don't think you can fairly evaluate Kenny running this garbage being coached by this incompetent coaching staff. They have him so screwed up trying to be overly conservative and not turn the ball over, he isn't trying to win, he's trying not to lose. That's not a winning strategy and isn't going to develop anyone. If a QB is there when they pick, yeah I take him because the position is too important not to when you don't know if your guy is THE guy but I still bring him back with a completely new staff. Hopefully that staff comes from the Shanahan tree.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

When Kenny went down, the team was 7-4 and the score was 3-3 and the Steelers were 1 yard away from a TD.

This is better, to some...and that's fuckin hilarious.

If Mason comes in and plays well, it makes Tomlin look bad. Mitch will have to throw 2 more for it to happen

They stupidly came into this game with the idea that Trubisky's poor tendencies should be encouraged rather than neutered. Because this is a team of imbeciles who don't know what to do with the QB position to help the guy behind center succeed.

Trubisky needed to have it beaten into his head not to throw to the other team. Not a bunch of ballwashing from the offensive staff about how they're excited to see him throw down field against one of the better coached defenses in the league.

I mean...we would have been mediocre at best with or without him, maybe just less mediocre with him. I don't think we win anything of substance if he stuck around. Do you?
