Brandon Aiyuk
Re: Brandon Aiyuk
I'm hearing reporting that Khan put a 2nd and 3rd on the table for SF. Fuck that. That's way to much draft capital from Aiyuk and then having to tie up almost 30M on top of it? No way. Thank God SF is being stubborn.
That would ONLY make sense if this team was legitimately a top WR away from Super Bowl contender. My fear is all the delusional people at the top of the organization that believe a Tomlin extension was a good idea think they are. I won't be surprised if they finally offer a 1st. At that point, a bottom five finish would almost be guaranteed.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
You have to remember they all think the playoffs are just a lottery ticket - just get in and then it's all luck, apparently. That's why NHALS is so important and they stick with Tomlin. 9-8 puts you in contention for the expanded playoffs, and in their eyes that's a championship contender.RemoAZ wrote: ↑Sun Aug 18, 2024 3:58 pmThat would ONLY make sense if this team was legitimately a top WR away from Super Bowl contender. They may still blink on this. It will not surprise me, at all, if this deal gets done in a few weeks. From their perspective, Aiyuk could be the missing piece to contend [for the playoffs]. They have the cap room in the future and probably think they have a 1-2 years window with Wilson.
Embrace NHALS. It's their new SB. They will pull out all the stops to be in the upper echelon of mediocrity.
DO NOT waste draft picks or a big contract on getting a WR for THIS team and these QBs
