Wheaton looked fine and Lance Moore is going to be good.

The red zone targets worry me like a motherfucker.

If Heath isn't the Heath of old, we're going to struggle like a motherfucker in the red zone.

Still dont have a 2nd receiver, you actually made that judgment based on the fact the starters played one series? A piss poor call and throw on 3rd down doesnt equate to not having a #2 WR. KR/PR, how the hell is Archer supposed to return kicks for which he has zero blocking? Put on his cloak of invisibility?

I know..a lot of people jumped all over me (not on here) over my observation last year that he was slow and dropping balls he almost never did in his prime like I was making fun of handicapped people..."How DARE you, sir!" lol...He can't run and he's our No. 1 with no competition worth talking about. If we sign a 2nd stringer that is merely competent but can run off someone's roster I'll be escsatic..I hate our TE's...

I was right there with you.

Heath doesn't look like Heath anymore.

I mean, he was never a burner, obviously, but he's waaaaay slower since his knee injury.

We are going to regret not going TE early in this past draft.

Our QB depth is scary as hell. If the Giants were to release either of their two QB's that played tonight, I'd pick them up in a heart beat. They picked on Isiah Green all night and he had no answers.

Pass rush

The Steelers need a key add or 2 to the roster if they expect to compete in the playoffs....The Steelers are talented

unless im mistaken they have a bit of cap room to play with and make said addition or 2 don't they?

I am much less concerned about CB depth after seeing Blake. He looked really good and played against Gints starters.

WRs did beat coverage the back up oline didnt allow Jones enough time to breath. TE depth is a concern.

Pass rush yeh Worilds looked like he was going through the motions.

Jones pass rush looks much better.

Yeh Heath did look slow but honestly I cant remember him ever breaking free of a defender on that play. The bigger concern for me is back up QBs. If Ben misses anytime whatsover this team is royally fucked.

Most of the bad play was by players who won't make the team. Landry Jones, Bryant and others won't play at all. The second string O Line will never play as a unit (thank God).

The O Line looked good, Ben looked good, Archer is going to add to the offense, the defense is a lot faster. J. Jones and Spence looked very good. Special teams did reasonably well. I think the first string defensive backs looked good. Bell looked good.

Football is back. So I am still happy.

Nassib is a 2nd rounder...but Painter looked worlds better than Laundry

He must have nude photos of Tomlin's wife. I can see no other logical reason for continuing to pay him a salary.

To be fair, Landry Jones had 3 guys put balls on the ground that drive. His TE was Paulson on that drive. Enough said.

Yet Paulson had reliable hands. He's just a guy that people love to hate.

It's about to come on replay in a few minutes, so nobody tell me what happened, okay? Hopefully nobody got hurt, and so-and-so got some good work in, etc.

Last year, NFL network was flashing the final score of the game I was watching on replay, so even if you all play it cool, they will still probly blow it for me. I don't care about the score, really. I just want to see everybody play well. No offensive line injuries, right?

one OL injury -- Foster was poked in the eye and left the game. He's fine.

NO INJURIES at all of any significance.

Wish we could play just one more pre-season game then start the regular season. Pre-season injuries suck

Re-watching the game now. ST's aren't blocking well at all. Archer was swallowed up by a tidal wave of Giants defenders. Pathetic. I hope Smith gets them in ship shape sooner than later.

I had a wedding last night and will be out of town for the next week. The dvr is set to record the nfl network rebroadcast of this game but I won't see it till I get back. I just read through all the threads.

So on the long gints run, where were Mitchell and Troy?

Special Teams haven't blocked for a good 10 years or so. I'm so used to it by now I don't even get worked up about it. We just don't have good special teams ever.

I fucking hated Landry for the entire game, except that last drive -- He definitely looked more composed and confident.

I'm sure it helps to play against 4th team future Walmart greeters, but still -- the last drive was encouraging

No it wasn't.

His throws were still late and off.

Catchable, but late and off.

He plays against first stringers, and that drive goes nowhere.

Speaking of, that throw from Gradkowski to Heath allowed the defender to close.

Was way late. Made Heath look slower that normal.

CORRECT

Grad and Landry both suck -- timing and decision making are horrible

The qb clearly made heath look slow --

I am much less concerned about CB depth after seeing Blake

That's funny I am far more concerned after watching Blake play...I think he should be a part of the 1st wave of cuts. He is not an NFL caliber player. He was one of the biggest disappointments for me last night...Green the other corner also sucks.

I want to see Landry Jones get some snaps with the 1's ahead of Gradkowski...I am not a fan of Jones per say....Gradkowski is fucking terrible.

Running back is not a problem IMO
